The top 10 has been revealed on the masterworks thread. Predictable and dull mostly.

So here's how my top 10 fell on the list:

    1. New Mutants (#2)
    2. Uncanny X-Men Vol. 4 (#1)
    3. X-Men: Before the Fall (#3)
    4. Incredible Hulk by Peter David (#4)
    5. Vision by Tom King (N/A)
    6. Elektra by Blackman & Del Mundo (N/A)
    7. Magneto by Cullen Bunn (N/A)
    8. Loki: Agent of Asgard (N/A)
    9. Generation X (#36)
    10. Daredevil by Diggle/Shadowland (#31)

So obviously the top 4 almost matched the actual top 4, which is no surprise. It may be a little boring, but these are actually the top 4 omnibus' I want Marvel to print and hopefully we get these sooner than later, I don't see how the demand for these books could be any clearer.

I'm stunned that Vision by Tom King didn't make the list. Really the book of last year, and I think already clearly the best Vision story that's ever been written.

My 6-8 where all small underrated Marvel Now! titles that I really didn't expect to get on the list, but hopefully over time these will start to get some more support in the voting.

Generation X and Shadowland were a little further down the list, but I hope we get these eventually, they'd both be very cool books to add to my X-Men and Daredevil collections.

#10 Punisher Max by Garth Ennis Vol. 1
#9 New Avengers by Bendis Vol. 2
    #8 Avengers Vol. 3
    #7 Fantastic Four Vol. 4
    #6 Excalibur Vol. 1 by Claremont/Davis
    #5 Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 4
#4 Incredible Hulk by Peter David Vol. 1
    #3 X-Men: Post-Massacre / Pre-Fall
    #2 New Mutants Volume 1
    #1 Uncanny X-Men Vol. 4 AKA by Claremont/JRJR

New Avengers by Bendis Vol. 2 was my 6th and last vote to make the Top 60.

Out of the final Ten, I would most likely pick up:

    #8 Avengers Vol. 3
    #7 Fantastic Four Vol. 4
    #5 Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 4
#4 Incredible Hulk by Peter David Vol. 1

Very sad to see Daredevil by O'Neill, Mazzucchelli and Janson not appear. But I'm glad to see that Shadowland, one of my "new" nominations make it.

Top 10 with nothing new. I wonder if is there a chance of Excalibur Omnibus without a movie or TV series (but then again I thought the same of Alpha Flight and it's on my desk right now! Great book and I'm glad to see the 2nd volume in the list!)

Here's my list, including where each entry placed in the final tally. (Shocked by how low the Defenders came in... there's no universe in which Killraven or the Micronauts should be finishing ahead of the Defenders, for crying out loud!)

I have no idea what Mystery Men: The Golden Age would be. I assume its an anthology type collection of Timely Detective/Police/Crime serials.
When I hear Mystery Men I think of Bob Burden's rag tag comedic team with The Flamming Carrot, Shoveler etc.
    Would this be an Omni?

I see Marvel Collections for the third year in a row is having a Deadpool Omni for January.

I'm going to revisit the most wanted list later.

    These were my picks:

    1. X-MEN: MUTANT MASSACRE AFTERMATH (UXM #215-219 & Ann 11, XFa #12-17 & Ann 2, NM #47-54 & Ann 3, Mephisto vs. X-Factor, Mephisto vs X-Men, Spiderman and Wolverine #1, Marvel Fanfare #38, X-Men vs FF #1-4, X-Men vs Avengers #1-4, Fallen Angels #1-8, and Marvel Super-Heroes #1)

    2. INCREDIBLE HULK BY PETER DAVID VOLUME 1 (#330-363, ANNUALS)

    3. UNCANNY X-MEN VOLUME 4 (#176-209, Annuals 8-10)

    4. SENSATIONAL SHE HULK BY JOHN BYRNE (#1-8, #31-50)

    5. AVENGERS BY ROGER STERN VOLUME 1 (#227-254, ANNUALS)

    6. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN BY TOM DEFALCO (#251-285, ANNUALS)

    7. SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN BY PETER DAVID (#103-130, 134-136, Annuals 5-6)

    8. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN VOLUME 4 (#105-142, Giant-Size Super-Heroes #1)

    9. NEW MUTANTS VOLUME 1 (MARVEL GRAPHIC NOVEL, MTU 100, NEW MUTANTS #1-34)

    10. EXCALIBUR (#1-34, MOJO MAYHEM, THE POSSESSION, XX CROSSING, SPECIAL, AIR APPARENT)

Couldn't be happier to see Sensational She-Hulk make such a resurgence this year, especially in light of the 2nd TPB in late 2016!

Hopefully my nomination of SSM by David will have a stronger showing in next year's survey. This one and ASM by DeFalco were my only two votes to not make the results, but the other eight were in the top 25 (with six comprising the top six!).

Thanks to Tigereyes, as always, for perpetuating the most enjoyable annual tradition of our online community!

Now, votes can be revealed! My 2017 Not-So-Secret Ballot:

    1. Dazzler (1981): The Omnibus
    2. Fantastic Four (1998) by Claremont/Larocca
    3. Alpha Flight (1983), Vol. 2 AKA Alpha Flight by Mantlo, Hudnall, & Lee
    4. West Coast Avengers Disassembled i.e., the final volume
    5. X-Men Post-Massacre / Pre-Fall
    6. Marvel Knights (2000 & 2002)
    7. Weapon X (2002) by Frank Tieri (complete series)
    8. Excalibur (1988) by Ben Raab (post-Ellis through end of series)
    9. Iron Man (1998) Vol. 2 by Quesada et al (sequel to Busiek/Chen)
    10. X-Men by Kieron Gillen (and maybe Fraction? Contents vary, but generally anything with UXM #544 is what I'm talking about)

FINALLY, Dazzler is within striking distance of the ranked portion of the survey! I think the intersection of X-Men fandom and it being near the top of the line for MMWs could see it actually crack the list next year, especially now that people see it's not totally far-fetched to vote for it.

I remain absolutely puzzled on how the Claremont/Larocca FF run isn't on the survey every year. It's such an obvious omnibus, and now it's the only 1998 reboot not with an omnibus.

Glad to see my 3-5 rank, especially Alpha Flight - I was genuinely curious to see if people would push for it. After that, I went pretty obscure and wishful-thinking with my 5-9, but we don't get things we don't vote for! And, nice to see the Gillen X-Men book waiting in the wings for a vote.

    My votes were as follows:

    1. New Warriors Volume 2. Made the list at #17.
    2. Nomad by Fabian Nicieza -collecting the solo stories, mini, and ongoing by Fab Nic, along with crossover issues with Captain America, Daredevil, and Punisher War Journal. Did not make the list.
    3. Alpha Flight Volume 2. Made the list at #34.
    4. Wonder Man: Ongoing by Gerard Jones plus miscellaneous solo appearances. A longshot with Jones's current arrest. Did not make the list.
    5. Marvel Horror by Warren Ellis: Contains the full Hellstorm series, Druid, and miscellaneous Ellis scripted issues that have not been collected. Did not make the list.
    6. Amalgam/Access: Collecting all the Amalgam issue, All Access and Access Unlimited minis. A longshot since DC holds the rights to half the issues. Did not make the list.
    7. Spider-Man by JM DeMatteis: Contains the Marvel Team Up, Kraven's Last Stand, Soul of the Hunter, and Spectacular Spider-Man issues by JMD. I put the cutoff at #200 to omit Maximum Carnage. Partially made the list at #29.
    8. Knights of Pendragon: Contains both series of Knights of Pendragon from Marvel UK. Did not make the list.
    9. The 'Nam by Doug Murray. Collecting all issues of The 'Nam by Murray as well as any other magazine war stories he did. Did not make the list.
    10. Quasar volume 1. Collecting his MTU issue, Avengers 301-3003, stories from Avengers annual 18, MCP 29, and ongoing series #1-25ish. Did not make the list.

I omitted anything that is expected to come out soon such as Avengers by Hickman 2 or Daredevil by Waid 2. I did not list anything that is going to be covered by an Epic Collection such as CA by Gruenwald or IM by Michelinie/Layton 2. I tried to stick to material that has not been collected or not fully collected. Of my choices, 2 are followups to orphaned omni volumes, 7 are one and done volumes, and 1 is the first in 2 or more volumes. And 2 of my choices had Classic collections come out that did not have the complete series.

I sometimes think there isn't a single other person who is aware that this exists!

I loved!!!!!!!!!! the first series. It was a Vertigo-esque title coming out of Marvel UK. Panini put out a collection of the first 9 issues (available through Amazon UK), which was odd since it stops in the middle of the second arc. They never released a second volume which would have gotten to the end of the first series.

The second series was a bit of a let down. It went from the Vertigo-esque tone of the first series, to a more traditional superhero with costumes tone. But I would still love to get it all in one omnibus. But I always knew this would not get many votes.

I have both sets all stacked up in my attic ready for binding, but I want to try to send in all of Marvel UK at once to wind up with a complete end-to-end bookshelf of it and I cannot find a set of Death Metal #1-4 anywhere to save my life.
Do you read comics in TPBs, HCs, and omnibuses - or are just not sure where to start? Check out my definitive guides to DC (including Rebirth!), Valiant Comics, and Marvel - including every X-Men and Avengers team and each Marvel Event.

maybe a Knights of Pendragon + Death's Head Omni? It's weird enough so I'd spend some $$ on that!
