Default Marvel Collected Editions Sales - February 2018

The complete estimated comic book sales figures for February 2018 are in (please note this list only details those comics sold to North American Comics Shops as reported by Diamond). I’ve listed below the Marvel OHC/Omnibus/MMW’s as well as the larger TPB collections such as the Epic, Ultimate and Complete lines that made the list, detailing the position, title and estimated sales. I haven’t included any reentries.

    70. Marvel Legacy OHC - 1,025
    74. Daredevil Epic Collection Vol. 2: Mike Murdock Must Die! - 967
    76. Excalibur Epic Collection Vol. 2: The Cross-Time Caper - 934
    81. The New Mutants Epic Collection Vol. 6: Curse of the Valkyries - 899
    97. Deadpool By Daniel Way Omnibus Vol. 1 - 813
    102. Marvel's Black Panther: Art of the Movie Slipcase OHC - 771
    110. Black Panther By Reginald Hudlin Vol. 3: The Complete Collection - 745
    111. Daredevil: Shadowland Omnibus - 744
    140. The New Mutants By Zeb Wells: The Complete Collection - 628
    145. Amazing Spider-Man: Worldwide OHC Vol. 3 - 601
    159. Invincible Iron Man By Brian Michael Bendis OHC - 552
    166. Captain America: Adventures of Captain America TPB -541
    168. Cable & X-Force: Onslaught Rising TPB - 530
    206. Avengers Academy Vol. 1: The Complete Collection - 431

    DC's Omnibus releases in February:

I finally read Vision. I thought it was excellent. I really enjoyed it. My only complaint is that it felt short at the end. The ending was just "pretty good". I don't want to go into specifics for anyone who hasn't read it. I enjoyed it much more than his Omega Men which sort of bored me. I need to give that another try. Sometimes mood affects the reading experience for me.

    168. Cable & X-Force: Onslaught Rising TPB - 530
    206. Avengers Academy Vol. 1: The Complete Collection - 431

    DC's Omnibus releases in February:
House of Secrets: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 – 940; New Teen Titans Omnibus Vol. 2 - 869
As I am not used to follow the sales figures for TPBs could some one give me an educated guess if the Cable X-Force Number of 530 is still okish for the current market or might be considered a total failure?

I am really worried that they will abandon the X-Force Epic line or further split collections as we have not yet seen another solicitation (here is hoping for the next catalog soon).

Anyways, I really really like the first X-Force Volume a lot and so many issues remain uncollected. The movie might help as we can now see with all the Cable trades that came out in the last months and continue further on.

Hey, my link to Hatchette's website is now asking for a pswd. Never done that before. Is it doing that for others, too? If you have a link that works, can you please post it here? I like to check there, along with Amazon fish, until the new catalog is released.
DC just got theirs today, so ideally Marvel's can't be too far behind.

It's a very just okayish figure. A couple of years back, this would have been a very bad figure, but the last year or so, sales have markedly dropped, so this is moreorless n line with a second tier superhero.

Thank you for your insight Raffi, maybe that will also help to see a next split Volume or Epic.

I wanna get Hickman/Bendis Secret Warriors. Do I need any extra books for required reading?

If you get the omnibus, that's all you need.

Huh, that’s not much for Zeb Wells’ New Mutants. Do people not know how great that run was?

There are two Secret Warriors Complete Collections which collect the same issues as the omnibus.

The Omnibus is OOP and going at crazy prices so not the best option right now. What Sandbagger77 wrote.

Also, Secret Wars isn't just then end of his Avengers run. It's the culmination of basically everything he wrote for Marvel. So his work on Fantastic Four (unfortunately OOP and pricey) and Ultimates (not OHC) isn't necessary, but would add to it.
Thank you. I'm trying to be clever because I have exams in the next two/three months so will have little time.
