Been waiting for that Waid FF. Almost bought the hcs a few time over the years. Since everyone seems to be fawning over it, I'll give SS a buy as well even though I'm not really a fan of Allred

Definitely getting Gambit: The Complete Collection Volume 2. The first volume came out in early 2016. When there wasn't a second volume solicited that year, I feared it would be orphaned. Glad to see the second and final volume for this series.
Silver Surfer by Slott and Allred is also a buy. This will be a great done in one collection to have.

I'm frustrated with the MU by Byrne Volume 2. It's another grab bag, but it is also the first time the Lost Generation mini series has ever been collected. I would totally buy that series collection by itself, but I don't want to get an omnibus for regular price if I only want a handful of issues in it.
Thanks a ton for posting this. If it's not much trouble the next time, throw some space breaks between the titles as I've done or bold them. My old brain and tired eyes struggled with this for a minute .

As for the books, I'm super excited to see that Slott/Allred Silver Surfer omni. That's been a big want of mine for a while now.

I own the FF OHCs so I’ll pass on this but I highly recommend it.

Same here. I can't justify upgrading OHCs to Omnibus format. I will be upgrading the Slott/Allred Silver Surfer from TPB to Omnibus though.

Wasn't the first JB vol.1 Omni a bargain bin dump? I'm only interested in the Iron Fist material and will hope it gets collected elsewhere in a more Iron Fist focused collection.

FF by Waid: I had fallen off the Marvel 1st family during this period. It was post college, first real job so in the years around this I had trimmed my reading substantially. What are peoples thoughts on this run? I'm assuming this is a renumbering marketing gimmick going from #70 to #500?

Silver Surfer by Slott & Allred is a for sure get.

It would be nice if the Marvel Universe Byrne omni 2 would collect all of his Marvel Team up issues, maybe not the Red Sonja one if there are issues with that character.

    Is Slott's Silver Surfer kid-friendly?

Yes. I'd say that it is.

It's basically Dan Slott writing Doctor Who.

I didnt like it at first, but on reading it all together as one story, it's actually heart felt and pretty touching. Sappy and not really a classic Surfer story as it goes, but then it kinda is when you stop and think about what actually makes a Surfer story.

Haha. Thanks. I loved how Waid treated Ben Grimm - especially his relationship with Reed. This was a great run with some touching moments. In fact, it’s probably my favorite FF run although Hickman was close.

    I'll be getting the above!

Regarding Punisher, I was actually hoping for an alternative to the chunky omnibus. I wonder if this line will encompass the MAX stories or just the Marvel Knights run.
On Spidey, I think this is the first time these issues are collected. One more MMW and we will likely have a complete bridge between the third omni and the Stern omni.
And the Slott/Allred omni was long overdue. I followed this on digital and will be a worthy reread and addition to the shelf.

I'm planning on picking up MMW Amazing Spider-Man Vol. 20 HC, Fantastic Four Omnibus by Waid & Wieringo and the Silver Surfer Omnibus by Slott & Alfred.

I'm a little up in the air with the Byrne Omnibus Vol. 2. I have the first Omnibus mainly for the Avengers and Captain America issues. The Vol. 2 almost has the complete contents of the 2 MMW Iron Fist HCs. It's missing Marvel Premiere #14-24 (first appearances) which Byrne had no part of. I think I'll wait for it to hit clearance. It really would be ideal to see an Iron Fist Omnibus to materialise.

Now that I think about it . . . I'm gonna pass on the Byrne omni. I only wanted it for the Iron Fist and I don't even want it that much.

Out of the entire batch I'll get the SS omni and keep by FF OHCs. Glad Marvel is saving me a few bucks.
