There was a creator rights issue at one point. Not sure if it got resolved.
I dug this article up from 2013 that says Marvel and Gary Friedrich came to a settlement. However, the details of the settlement were not made public nor has the settlement been finalized.
Marvel Comics and writer Gary Friedrich have agreed to a settlement to their long-standing legal dispute over ownership of Ghost Rider, as reported Monday by Reuters. If finalized, the settlement will mark the end more than six years of litigation between the two parties.

Terms of the settlement have not been disclosed, but according to Reuters, Friedrich’s lawyer, Charles Kramer, said the writer and Marvel “have amicably agreed to resolve all claims between, among, and against all parties.”
I don't see any articles post-2013 so did this lawsuit get finalized?
Could details of the settlement be what is preventing us from getting collected editions, in any format, of '73 Blaze Ghost Rider? I could believe that the settlement details include Mr. Friedrich getting 'x' percentage kickback from the sale of any collected GR material. Therefore Marvel out of spite just will not print any. Basically waiting it out till he dies. I'd wager his 'estate' doesn't get any kickback cause if it did playing the waiting game wouldn't make sense.
    However, I'm just speculating.

I haven't opened up my collected editions for actual reading in a year or two. The lack of desire does concern me a bit. I used to read and re-read the heck out of these things, as well as buy them voraciously. I've still been heavily involved in following comic news and checking out new monthly titles that appeal to me, but these feel almost more like a sugar rush or scavenger hunt for something captivating than anything else.

Hoping it's just a phase and that the time passing makes the return to these books even more enjoyable.
Anyone else go through cycles like this?

It's pretty easy to lose interest in hobbies. I can get bored of my favorites bands for a while. All you can do is go onto something else for a while or switch it up what you are reading.
When I quit when I was younger, I got bored of the limited scope of stuff I was reading and quit altogether. When I got back into it, I branched out a lot so I have a lot of variety. If I get bored of something, I go read something else and go back to it later. So I change what I'm reading a lot.
I should also note I have other interests/hobbies outside of reading/viewing media which helps me not lose interest.

Yup. I started in 2012, dropped around late 2013 (after reading the Bitter March Winter Soldier series) and returned in 2015 summer. To make it enjoyable, I refuse to let it become anything more than a hobby and there are weeks where I won't read a comic but will engage in the media.

+ Question about Annihilation. Was is it about? I see one of the collected volumes cheap.

I'm splitting hairs a bit but the CBR article said the details hadn't been disclosed rather than made public. That might mean at the time they didn't announce it. I can get access to PACER. Let me figure out which US District Court this was in (and go bother a friend) and I'll see if the settlement was made public. Sometimes seals expire, too.

Am I missing something? Amazing Spider-Man Worldwide Deluxe HC includes Amazing Spider-Man 20-28, Annual 1. The next deluxe edition includes Amazing Spider-Man 794-801, Annual 42 and skips #29-32 & 789-793. Where is the book collecting those issues? Did I miss a book?

Annihilus finds our universe is expanding, thus encroaching on the Negative Zone. He invades our universe, setting him against Marvel's cosmic heroes. It is super awesome.

You aren't missing anything (yet). I couldn't find a WWv4 HC at Amazon or BN, and it's not in the June, July, or August solicitations. Hmm.

    Hello Raffi,

I still check the forum from time to time. It is nice to see some older titles slowly working there way back into print, the most recent being Tomb of Dracula Volume 1 Omnibus. Still so many more that deserve another print run.

For myself I have left the omnibus front and went over to digital. As much as I loved big omnibus books the power of digital on an Ipad Pro won me over.

Need to scroll back a bunch of pages and see the most recent vote on what are the most wanted titles people are looking for. New Mutants Volume 1 Omnibus has to be up there.

Yeah, I don't get it. The volume after the missing issues are solicited for August, so I'm not sure what is going on.

I don't think it's that unusual, ASM #800 is a big deal so they want to get the OHC out quickly to get people to buy it. I believe the Dead No More OHC came out before the Worldwide Vol 2 OHC, which was a very similar situation.
