I'll be getting the classic cover for this Omni. A John Buscema cover over the Amanda Connor one is an easy pic for me, if for no other reason when given the choice I go classic cover. The eyes on Carol look off to me in the Connor cover.

I was first introduced to Carol when she was Binary and despite the Editorial push the last decade have never been a huge fan. I did read 20 some odd issues of her last Ms.Marvel series but the switch to Captain Marvel came with trappings that didn't take for me. So, that said I'm curious to read this early material in one easy contained volume.

That classic cover is by John Romita, Sr., not John Buscema. John B. does the interiors for that first issue, of course.

My IST order that came in today also included the Starlin Captain Marvel TPB. I loved his work on Warlock...and like it best when he writes AND illustrates. Not really into his write-only stuff. The guy was an amazing artist, and it seems to have been squandered later on.

Did I read Byrnes’ FF is being reissued? It must have been a huge run to begin with and vol 2 is still readily available though. Could it be they over produced vol 2?

FF by Byrne omnibus Volume 1 is being reissued. It comes out in late August for comic stores and in early September for book stores. I ordered it, then picked up volume 2 off ebay. Since volume 2 is available pretty easily, I don't think they will reissue it any time soon.

What a difference a couple of months make! Lots of movement in omnibus stock.

Since my last update, four books have gone out of print (Amazing Spider-Man Volume 3 Omnibus, Annihilation Conquest Omnibus, Avengers by Jonathan Hickman Volume 1, X-Men/Avengers Onslaught Omnibus). The Hickman Omnibus bypassed the 'Stock Running Low' list completely and went OOP in near record time.

A large number of books (19!!!) have been moved to the 'Stock Running Low' list. This is cool to hear. I've been trying to find the Omnibus for under $400. Dark Horse somewhat recently released "Omnibus" tpbs of Busiek and Nords stuff (volumes 1 and 2). But the issues aren't numbered and I think they're a little out of order. I'd like to see a release of Busiek and Nord's stuff in sequential order. I'm kind of ocd about that stuff.

I wonder how popular this Omnibus will be? I think it's a bit of a cop-out that they used the exact same cover as the one on UXM Omnibus Vol. 2.
