Thank you for responding. You're saying there are multiple volumes?

It is slated to run for 6 issues and the first Trade Paperback has 1 & 2 in it, so should be 3 TPB's eventually. I personally will wait to see if it gets the comprehensive HC treatment for me to pick it up.

Just adding to what Brewman said, here’s a review of the first volume (issues 1 and 2) which lays out the premise, and its strengths and weaknesses, well:

    http://www.housetoastonish.com/?p=4000

Basically, the goal is to make X-Men up through around issue 300 or so into one cohesive narrative, as if it had planned out all along. So there’s a lot of summarization, but also lots of retconning away some of the lamer villains and subplots, and inserting things that will crop up in later (Claremont-era) stories.

Yes, I'd also prefer the Omnibus. OHCs sales have markedly diminished over the last year or so, in particular those that cover runs as opposed to events so Marvel may be giving them a miss.

Waid's run had TPBs, PHCs, OHCs and Omnibuses and they all sold quite well, although it was a very highly praised run. The single issues also sold at least 10k more than Soule's issues.

They're still putting them out for the Star Wars stuff but that's kind of a no brainer because it sells. They haven't done an OHC for the Poe Dameron series though, which funnily enough, is also written by Soule lol. I haven't read any of that series yet in the hope that'll it'll be available in hardcover at some point. I may have to give up hope on that.

This, The Thanos Wars: Infinity Origin Omnibus, pre-dates Thanos Quest 1-2 correct?

Sure does. Those are all his early appearances in the 70s. Thanos Quest is what, 90-91?

Naturally, it seems like most of the content of this Thanos Wars: Infinity Origin omnibus is already collected in the Warlock and Captain Marvel complete collections.

    But this is tempting.

IMHO, this would be ideally called Marvel Knights: Daredevil by Joe Quesada and not Marvel Knights: by Joe Quesada, as the vast majority of material pertains solely to Daredevil. With regards to comics included, I believe there is only one issue that is not a Daredevil issue, and it's just a one-shot featuring the Punisher (IINM).

Daredevil #1-15 is all pretty good stuff (Smith, Quesada, Palmiotti). The Daredevil: Father mini-series by Quesada is not good. Not the worst out there but not great. Badly written by Quesada.

I have all of this in OHCs but I'm still tempted being a Daredevil completionist and Omnibuses being my favourite format. I may wait and pick it up at discount price and try and sell off the OHCs.

I have the GotG Classic Omni and the Captain Marvel and Warlock MMW's and yet I am still tempted by this. I will end up giving it a pass due to space and dollar constraints, but it will still be hard; I love this material.
