Just the Loeb/McGinnis Hulk for me. I've got ASM vol.1 and despite having a volume one printing that is very, very thick I'm not inclined to upgrade. I'll put those funds elsewhere.

I had to be talked into picking them up last year. I didn't realize vol. 2 and 3 were going for hundreds now.
Hopefully the huge popularity of the A.S.M. and Uncanny X-Men omni's means the vol. 2 & 3's get reprints.
I personally need A.S.M. 2 and 3, even if I buy 1 & 4 this month.

I just got Busiek's Avengers vol 1 in the mail so hopefully that'll cheer me up lol

I have the sewn thick quality paper second printing of ASM Vol. 1 (the 1st printing was glued) and AFAIK it's thicker than any of the DC $150 Omnibuses

You could just start on the "Avengers World" column and only include Avengers/New, Infinity, and SW, and be fine.

For Marvel only we're talking about here, there's several methods.
The best way, IMO, is to go here:

this will show all the upcoming Marvel releases - this includes paperbacks, hardcovers, and omnibuses.
You can scour each page or just do a 'find' for "omnibus" on each page. it will list the release date for TOW and also what their preorder price will be.

You can also do this via Amazon. Others may have their methods, but I search for "marvel comics". once that comes up, I then select the category "marvel comics and graphic novels", and then I sort by Publication date.
Again, it will show you everything, and you'll have to parse through all the listings if you only want omnibuses.

there's probably a spot somewhere else that lists everything as well.

As far as OOP books, that's a toughy. Obviously I would say get the ones long OOP first, if you find them at a decent price, as they're only going to get MORE expensive if you wait. it's hit or miss what 'newer' releases will go OOP soon vs. later, so aside from the mantra "buy them all as soon as they come out!" you have to just be picky and get what you really want. Hope this helps.

No prices here, but if you want a (mostly?) complete list of contents, release dates, etc., the wiki page is pretty well kept up

The nature of it being a giant table means it's all on one page and can be easily searched, but you won't get info about out-of-print, etc.

As for what to get, every few weeks someone lists all the Marvel omnis that are out of print, have low stock, or are readily available. I tend to jump on whatever looks good in the "low stock" section before it disappears and becomes incredibly expensive.
