Peter Parker and Dr. Curt Connors (a.k.a. the Lizard) have always shared a unique bond. Both men of science, but one gifted with powers while the other was cursed. Only together can these sometimes allies, sometimes adversaries survive the unstoppable Iguana. Then, in a two-part Annual extravaganza, comes Doc Ock! All the while, Peter’s increasingly on edge. The bizarre horror of the Swarm and a battle with Morbius the Living Vampire do little to help. Then, the emergence of the Schizoid Man pushes him over the line. And on the other side is the Spider-Lizard! Can our mutated hero surivive? He’d better, or he won’t be able to team up with the FF against the Frightful Four! Has it been confirmed? Everywhere I've seen the solicit has been with this mistake. That would mean that another volume is needed, probably with the last Thor issues and King Thor (...an hopefully Unworthy Thor)

The one I'm not surprised by is the Spider-man by Byrne Omni. That run of books is not viewed with any fond nostalgia and seemed an even odder choice as a collection despite being Spider-man than some others they'd surprised us with(Hellstrom for example).
I agree 100%; I think that Timely number is good (well, for today's times, it's good) and bodes WELL for them to continue these really niche collections. I think we can safely say now that the Atlas MMW line if officially dead and this is the way things are trending at Marvel - these compilation omnibuses. Not a bad thing at all. ;-)

Those 70’s Bronze Age Marvel covers
Have become so iconic. Something about
How each has a general uniformity and than
A huge space in the middle where a
Scene and some wording is placed to
    Attract the reader.
I believe all the major publishers like
Marvel and D C and Archie and Harvey
    Heavily relied on heavily promoting
The company name and title of the
Book and a small icon of the character
Because comics would basically be stacked
On each other on a shelf or spinner rack
And they wanted the exposed 1/4 top of the book to
Scream out to the reader “Here I am.... pick me”.

I have 1 question about this new IMMORTAL HULK HC VOL 02. Is it oversized like Vol 01 OHC which got released some time ago?
