I don't think so. It's Johns, it will sell. Also JSA v2 was announced too before v1 came out.

I'm still waiting on an update on that issue, hoping it will be fixed like JSA and whatever else was. But there doesn't seem to be near the same uproar about this one.

It's apparently missing half of Sinestro Corps War, which apparently makes it unreadable.

Okay, so I own the Flash: Wonderland and Blood Will Run Trades, and decided to order the volume 2 Omnibus, since the trades are out of print. I only paid $38 for it. Does anyone think it isn't worth that?

    It's definitely worth it.

There are some appearances by other DC characters here and there - mostly in Animal Man- but they don't require any knowledge beforehand.

If it that includes removing the Green Lantern Corps issues, I'd have no problem with that. I thought they were very cumbersome to go through in the tpb.

By the way! If no-one's noticed, InStockTrades is having a Batman sale. I was about to get Morrison's Arkham Asylum a few weeks ago but I noticed they're re-releasing it later this year as a special edition IIRC.

It's not the most well built omnibus (typical DC quality) but the story worth it IMO.

There will be a 25th anniversary deluxe in November.

Here's a pic that I posted in the Shelf Porn thread. It has the 75 Year Anniversary Superman book, which should be the same size as those two. As you can see, it's a little smaller than a normal OHC.

As a Superman fan, I will say that that book's a must-have, so the Batman and Joker books are definitely in my to-get list. I'll pass on the Lois Lane collection, though. Doesn't sound like something a guy would want to read.

I passed on the GLC issues during BN and I didn't feel like I missed anything important because they were tie-in issues in relation to the main mini. SCW was different in that it was a two-book crossover and without GLC you would be missing parts 3,5,7,8 of the main event.

I wish they would omnibus Green Lantern in a way where the events are Omni'd seperately. Make one omni for rebirth, recharge and all of the GL issues up to SCW, title it GL: Rebirth. Title the second omni GL: Sinestro Corps War and have it contain the whole SCW including the one-shots and the GLC parts, GL Secret Files and Origins and the GL issues through Secret Origins. Third omni would be Blackest Night and have it contain BN, GL, GLC and the Blue Beetle tie-in issue. Non-essential tie-ins would go in a Blackest Night Companion, this could contain the 3-issue minis and the 'revived' cancelled series issues. Put the post-BN issues in one volume called 'War of the Green Lanterns,' and then have the New-52 Johns issues in a final volume including the tie-in issues of the two GL events at the end of his run.

I don't know, I just imagine the stories to be very drama-based. More introspective. The type of stories that appeal to women, like Lois trying to get Superman's attention or something (ala Blankets and Archie comics) . I know the Silver Age Superman had a lot of stories like this. These stories don't interest me as much as the more action-based, proactive superhero stories.

Not knocking on these Lois Lane stories or even saying that's how they are. I just don't think I'd be interested in them if (I'm guessing) her stories were geared towards girls.

[edit] I'll rephrase my above quote and say it doesn't sound like something *I* would want to read.

Well that's a better explanation than "girls have cooties!". Thanks for replying.

Even though they were labeled as such, they really told two separate, parallel stories. I actually didn't care for the GLC issues and skipped them when reading the Absolute; you still get a complete story.
