    I've decided to get the 52 Omnibus, I understand it's good---hope so!

He did, but he doesn't have any authority over what DC does. But, yes, you're right, it certainly raised some eyebrows when it was announced, which was at the same time Absolute Y: The Last Man was announced. At least Y made sense, since it was first published in Deluxe format. Transmet - which is one of my favorite series ever, but certainly not as popular as other Deluxe and Absolute series - was certainly surprising.

Either way, I ordered my copy of Volume 1 today. I know it's going to pricey to collect all three (assuming there's three), but it's just one of those books I'll read time and time again.

    Great book, great decision.
Also, it's kind of nice epilogue to Grant Morrison's Animal Man run in that Morrison handles some of the writing chores and Buddy is a major character in it.

I'd read that one first then. It's a great/fast read.

I was Google Imaging the Byrne Superman run (which I've never read) and though I fundamentally disagree with the "Clark Kent is who I am, Superman is what I can do" approach (Superman is absolutely the "real" guy, but let's not get into that debate ) I really, really want a couple of omni's for that run.

    • 3 pages of character designs by Tim Seeley
    • 5 pages of character designs by Mikel Janin

    • 7 pages of layouts for Grayson #1 by Mikel Janin

Is this the new norm for DC? Or did I just get lucky?

I'm starting to think it wasn't a one time deal, picked up Batgirl Volume 1: Batgirl of Burnside today (collects Batgirl #35-40) and the following extras were included:

    • 9 variant covers
    • Batgirl #35 cover sketch by Cameron Stewart
    • Batgirl costume redesign by Cameron Stewart/Babs Tarr
    • Batgirl character studies by Cameron Stewart/Babs Tarr
    • Batgirl Ad by Cameron Stewart
    • 9 pages of character designs by Babs Tarr
    • Wondercon 2015 Batgirl Program Cover by Babs Tarr
    • 2 pages of Batgirl art by Cameron Stewart
    • 4 pages of page progressions from Batgirl #35 (layouts by Cameron Stewart, pencils by Babs Tarr)
    • 2 pages of layouts from Batgirl #35 by Cameron Stewart
    • 1 page of logo designs of companies featured in Batgirl by Cameron Stewart

It's not uncommon for vol. 1s to have a ton of bonus material (i.e - court of owls, Justice league origin). Don't expect it to last.

This week's haul... I seriously don't understand the logic here from DC. Detective got the new Trade Dress but Action does not?

I hate really being negative but is it too hard to ask for some alignment?
