Reliving my second childhood.... Making my TPB's take a back seat.....I'm now a new DC Omnibus and Hard Bound Book Collector: Batman: The Golden Age Omni V1 / Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo Vol. 2 / Gotham Central Omni / Justice League of America Silver Age Omni's V1 & V2 / Superman: The Golden Age Omni V1/ Green Lantern Omni V1
with many more purchases soon to come.....
The Deluxe simply removed Batman's text in one section to cut down the repetition a little. Batman still repeats the text in question overall in the arc though. The Deluxe made the right choice, but actually added introductory stuff like credits and "I am..." Part X in each issue that kinda obscured the art vs the original softcover.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft
Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”
Anyone know if The Fourth World Omnibus will have everything, or will it be necessary to get the Mr. Miracle tpb?
Do we know how many of the Rebirth Deluxe HCs have been cancelled? Just Aquaman and Green Arrow?
Also, has the Aquaman by Johns Omni been canned or just pushed back?
Deluxes getting axed, sadly, I'm gonna view that as a good sign.
DC needs to stay committed to softcovers and regular cheaper editions.
The Button needs a softcover and the Batman Deluxe shouldn't have been the place to correct King's little changes...do it in the first softcovers.

Going to have to disagree.
They are a business and should be catering to everyone - both soft cover fans and fans of OHCs.
For me, there is absolutely zero point to upgrading from standard issues to trades or cheap softcovers. When I buy a collected edition, I want an upgrade, so it's OHC or nothing. If DC dont provide that, they dont get my money.
