Ah thanks, gonna read his series eventually (because Ennis!) I just started to worry when I've seen the title and you mentioned it's very sad.

It's very sad though. My signature is from the first issue of The Old Dog, in which Sean tells his sort of origin story. It's not a very fancy quote but spot on imo.

Same here about the dog stuff. We3 is like the saddest comic book ever for me.

A Contagion/Legacy TPB is coming, but the exact contents haven't been confirmed. Hopefully it will contain all of Contagion, Bane of the Demon, and Legacy.
I think Cataclysm goes in there somewhere right? After Legacy?

Duh, yes, brain fart on my part, I edited my original post in case others saw it- thanks for the correction!

And Micah- if you're ever in Louisville and want to talk some Batman, let me know No Man's Land is great, by the way. It's massive but really well done. Rucka also did a novelization of it that is worth checking out.

Is the Wonder Woman run by Perez up there with the classic 80s comics, Byrnes X Men, Millers Daredvil etc..?

Wonder Woman by Perez has long been considered the definitive run on the character until Brian Azzarello's run in the new 52.

That makes 3 of us. We3 was definitely pretty heavy.

Whatever you guys do, do not read "Bless the Beasts and Children...." by Bill Mantlo, a Daredevil short story in Marvel Fanfare #7. That has got to take the biscuit in sadness. It actually made me quite angry. As a Daredevil completionist, I actually don't like having it in my collection.

Another sad dog story that comes to mind is "Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow".

Hey not to spoil but Rover Red Charlie doesnt end up awful at the end even though there are some emotional parts during the story. I was expecting it to be much more brutal considering it's Ennis. Same with We3.

I'm firmly in the I do not want to see a dog die in anything camp. Haha I want to see John Wick to but have avoided it for the same reason.

    Spoiler :

I would of much rather seen Lois go than Krypto in Whatever Happened to...

I'm in the exact same camp as you guys. Don't like seeing animals hurt in movies, especially dogs. And haven't seen John Wick for that very reason.

Yet you all watch movies and read comics where people die all the time.
