And we also have the Batman by Doug Moench and Kelley Jones (where's volume 2, DC??), which is a LotDK/TotB in all but name.
Yep, it'll be standard trim. And no rhyme or reason about the series title:

    What we have so far:

Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo vol. 1
Legends of the Dark Knight: Jim Aparo vol. 2
Legends of the Dark Knight: Marshall Rogers
Legends of the Dark Knight: Alan Davis
Tales of the Batman: Len Wein
Tales of the Batman: Carmine Infantino
Tales of the Batman: Gene Colan vol. 1
Tales of the Batman: Archie Goodwin
Tales of the Batman: Don Newton vol. 1
Tales of the Batman: J.H. Williams III

We also have an older book called 'Tales of the Batman: Tim Sale' and the Doug Moench / Kelley Jones vol. 1

Theres also "Batman: Ego and other tales" by Darwyn Cooke, which fits the bill of an artist centered book with "tales" in the title.

I find it hard to believe that these wouldn't sell better as oversized omniboo. As it is, they're like the bastard children of the archive line.

True, forgot about that one since I don't have it, as some of the stuff in there was also reprinted in the 'Selina's Big Score' HC.

What I don't like about this artist-focused books is that sometimes stories are incomplete. For example, I am still waiting for a proper reprint of Strange Aparitions...

Thank you!!! I have a bad feeling we won't ever see vol. 2...

I love the *idea* of these books, but it drives me crazy that some of the artist volumes skip issues, making for an incomplete read.

I know some of you won't like me saying this, but I really wish DC would start doing volumes much like the Marvel Epic collections. Whether they're paperback or hardcover...collections like those would be awesome.

How is that Tim Sale book? What about the JH Williams? These books are great, but they are light on the extras and a few stories repeat.

I heard rumors on the omnibus collector site that both Planetary Omnibus and Absolute Batman and Robin are close to being out of print. Ive gone a bunch of pages back to see if anyone here has said anything to that effect and found nothing. Does anyone have any info on this? Need to know if I should buy these quick, they've been lounging on my wish list forever and id hate to miss the boat.

I agree 100%. The Chronicles were a nice idea but fizzled out.

I think the ideal situation would be three lines each for Batman and Superman collecting all of their stories in chronological order by era: Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age. One volume a month alternating between characters. Get the entire pre-Crisis runs reprinted for these juggernauts.
    Miller was right.

Batman IS a great writer but I never truly understood the hole concept with Swamp Thing living in a manor. Anybody else thinking that was weird?
Reading: Batman by Morrison, Death note, Inhumans, Sleeper
The plural of Omnibus is Omniboo
