The Sandman Absolutes in my opinion are the better deal. theyre not only a superior build but you can probably get them on eBay for a combined $200, so they might even come out cheaper.

So do the 4 Absolutes of the main story collect any extra stories not in the omnibus?

Also for those curious, Amazon has the golden age batman omnibus volume 1 up for preorder!

No additional stories, just lots of bonus materials like scripts, sketches, interviews, and etc.. if you're into that stuff; go get them. If you just want to read the stories in oversized format the omnibuses are sufficient and they look really nice on the shelves.

Hmmmm, I'd really like to know the contents of the 75th anniversary book for Eisner's The Spirit that just came out. I've scoured the net and have only been able to find the barest descriptions.

Hopefully this includes Count Vertigo #23.1 too. I know DC fuck up solicits all the time, but do the books usually get it right in the end?

They really should include it, I'm hoping they didn't want to get into details for the solicitation. These .1 issues are always an issue.

A little disappointed that they only refer to it as the Jeff Lemire run when Andrea Sorrentino (and colorist Marcelo Maiolo) worked on every single issue as well.
