Thanks for bringing the thread back and salvaging stuff from the old one, NZI.

So is this a hardcover thread, or just a generic one that means "absolutely everything DC prints that isn't a floppy". If the latter, please no. With that silly logic the entire forum could consist of exactly two posts. One for floppies, and one for generic "collected editions"

    Warren Ellis @warrenellis

FAQ: just been told by someone at DC that TRANSMETROPOLITAN will be republished in five hardback volumes sometime in the near future.

It collected Brian Azzarello's Joker and Luther work.

I already posted my latest purchase on the general HC thread but I figured I'd post again since this is about DC:

And here's the beautiful interior of Superman / Batman. Crappy DC binding as usual which is a shame.

I'm about halfway through and I am really enjoying it so far. Once I finish it I'll have to go back through it a second time just for the stunning art. Jae Lee is the best thing about DC as far as art goes lately. Pak seems to understand both characters pretty well. I think Superman has been grossly underserved in the New 52 so I was pleasantly surprised that I've been enjoying how he has been presented here so far. I really do enjoy the younger, passionate and somewhat prone to knee jerk reactions Superman Pak has written so far.

It's kind of always been that way. The main focus is typically oversized fare, but not exclusively so.

It is the Hardcover thread, there are some new rules around naming threads and I just made it similar to the Marvel one. If someone wants to talk about a trade that is fine but its focus is the HCs.

    Sweet, hopefully oversized too

Nice one! Never read it since I'm waiting for deluxe editions. Hopefully these will be it.

I think this is one of the best looking monthly books out now.
