Is Absolute Luthor/Joker worth picking up?

I'm really considering buying them as well, even already owning both in reg. sized HC.

From the look of it, there might be some editorial over control too. Lemires run obviously got cut short (he said he was half done 3 issues before he left), and the next team wrote it as Arrow Lite. Now that it started tanking, the new writer is going more towards the Lemire direction, but I can't help thinking that Lemire got pushed too far with it. Not to mention loosing Sorrentino to Marvel before that.

I'm thinking he somewhat got to finish up thanks to Futures end. Social justice, Emiko taking over and then retirement.

Same with Frankenstein.

She-Hulk was pretty popular (and they're supposed to start the title back with a "season 2"), not sure about Inhumans as I haven't read it, Thunderbolts was great, and Death of Wolverine was pretty good up until the lame ending that Marvel's editorial department no-doubt enforced.

Lemire has done, what? Two issues of Hawkeye? How do you even judge that?

really? good to hear I thought they cancelled it because of low sales (which I could understand, who cares about She-Hulk?...well, me, a lot more than about his cousin but most of the collectors and readers just go for the big names and leave the bit more obscure characters on the shelves. And also, there is the art, which was very good IMHO but people usually like the more realistic art styles).
It would be nice to see an ohc sometime soon (yeah, I know, dream on).

Oh don't get me wrong, it was probably cancelled because of low sales. I meant it was popular in that it was well-liked from readers and critics. That said, Marvel does want to relaunch it with the hope that Soule's name and past critical acclaim for the title will boost sales for a second run. Plus, Marvel likes restarting titles more than anything.

I've been following the digital version of Jiro Kuwata Batmanga, but I just flicked through the print version in Waterstones and think I might just need to buy the book. Well-put together, keep the manga reading experience intact and inexpensive at £10.99 (and about half that online.)
