Every month or so, someone plays the whole "what are your top 10 omnibus wishlist," and, no offense, we've burned this question a lot.

Let me try a new suggestion - and I'm not intentionally trying to be argumentative.

What are your top 5 (or top 10) that you think could actually have a chance and why.

For example, a lot of folks, including myself, would put Hitman down on a top 10 wishlist, but let's face it, that series doesn't have a snowball's chance in hell of getting an omnibus or even a deluxe. DC barely bothered to even finish it in tpb.

However, I could see someone putting down Aquaman by Johns, because DC puts everything Johns does in omnibus.

Now, that said, I'll have to think of my own top 5 wishlist that I think would actually have a chance, and get back to you, but I'm curious what others think.

    - Mike Grell's Green Arrow Omnibus
    - Mark Waid's Flash Omnibus
    - Justice League International Omnibus (well they need to start making some Omnis by 2018 right?)
    - John Byrne Superman Omni
    - John Ostrander's Suicide Squad!

If we ever get a Spectre tv show or whatever happens with the Justice League Dark movie, i'd love to see more mystical characters receiving an Omni.

It's a surprisingly nice put together TPB.

Hell to the yes! It has really great action sequences, fun dialogue and character dynamics and it's much of a love letter to Mike Grell's work.

YES! It's the best Green Arrow since Grell. The story mixes the supernatural with Green Arrow's usual street-level stuff and it works really well. It also reinvents a lot of old mythos in a great way (Count Vertigo and Killer Moth were never so menacing). I see Lemire to Green Arrow as Johns was to Green Lantern. It also has fantastic art from the unique Sorrentino. It's a must buy for me.

    Okay this one then?

Maybe find some art that is less spoiler-filled.

My Top 10 Omnibus Wishlist (that I think can actually happen)

    Batman by Grant Morrison
    Batman: Knightfall
    Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka
    Wonder Woman by Azzerello
    The Question by O'Neill
The Flash by Geoff Johns Vol 4 (Rebirth, 1-12 and Flashpoint)
    Superman by Byrne
    Suicide Squad by Ostrander
Legion of Super-Heroes by Johns (Lightning Saga, Crisis of 3 worlds, Adventure Comics)
    Batwoman by Rucka (Detecive included)

Cheating a little, but I want to see these Deluxe Editions

    Golden Age
    Action Comics by Morrison
    All the DC Events
    JLA: The Nail (Elseworlds)
    Jack of Fables
    Green Arrow by Kevin Smith

I can see Morrison Batman because - like Johns - all his stuff goes omni.
Knighfall - naw - too long and no event like that to my recollection has been collected in omnibus form.
Was Rucka's WW run long enough for an omni?
Yes, love to see Azz's WW.
The Question? Lot of people like that one. I could see it.
Definitely another Flash or Rebirth coming.
I'd love a Byrne Superman, too.
Suicide Squad is a strong possibility with a movie.
    Legion = Johns = probably
I don't see a Batwoman. She gets no push from DC at all, so I doubt they'd do an omnibus. Too bad, really.

    All great choices!

how are your copies of the Doom Patrol omnibus holding up? I love that comic run, but the binding really worried me. Such a huge book.

My is fine. Granted I read through once and it's been on the shelf since. But it held up better than my Johns' GL did.

In the Marvel thread the answer would be...who knows with Marvel. But perhaps DC are a little more predictable.

In regards to a Morrison Batman omnibus, how likely is that? He worked on a few different titles right? Would they group them together in one book? Would they fit I one book?

I really want to read his run(s?) and I'm kinda holding out for such an omnibus.

Morrison's Batman work reads in sequential order. There are various sites online that will give you the reading order for the run and the various titles.

It seems like Morrison is going through the Absolute route right now. Whether or not they'll do his whole run in Absolute is anyone's guess.

Other than the Neal Adams Omnibus, I don't believe Batman has any Omnibuses. Snyder's Court of Owls is going to an Absolute edition.

So you'll probably be holding out for a very long time. DC isn't very Omnibus friendly in general unless your name is Geoff Johns, and certainly not toward modern stuff.

You are right with Marvel. I probably wouldn't ask the question there. My guess is that Morrison has a good chance.

I agree except, DC is collecting all things Morrison in omnibus form, much like Johns. In fact, I think there's a good comparison in that DC collected a lot of the Johns GL in Absolute before moving to omnibus. That's why I think there's a good chance for a Morrison Batman. So far, however, you're right, there is only that (soon to be) one Bat-omni at this point.
