Yeah black cardboard is not the best looking, but doesn't really matter to me, at all. I'm just hoping the binding is flexible enough to make it a comfortable read, which it seems to be. Couple more weeks till amazon.de ships it out...

Yeah, shame about the black cardboard cover. It's not the end of the world, but a cropped version of the cover to #1 would have worked well. Something like this:

Just when I thought DC had their Omni game together, two steps forward one back.

Yeah, that's very disappointing. Wasn't there someone who claimed the black cardboard had low quality ink which rubbed off onto their fingers? I would've been happy with glossy cover boards with the exact same images from the DJ, with no text except for the Gotham Central front.

That was me and my fingers are not especially sweaty I think. And nt just with heavy omnis I think first time when I noticed it was with the Seven soldiers hc-s. Friggin' hate this cover material.

Same deal here, I dont think it was ink for me, rather the material of the cardboard itself kind of rubbing off.

My fingers got blackened reading the Infinite Crisis and 52 omnibuses with the dustjackets off. I'm not a sweaty person either. That said, it's not going to stop me from buying books with coverboards like that. Oversized art and the complete story in one volume is what really matters.

Is there any extra material in GC omni not included in HC's important for reader? I don't want to upgrade, I prefer smaller books, not those chunky omnibuses which cannot be taken outside.

Black cardboard, while plain, definitely helps to keep the costs down. It would be great to have something as nice as Perez WW on every book, but ultimately the dust jacket will be on more often than it will be off. Binding is more important.

I always take the dj off when I read so the cover material is quite important too. Not a deal breaker more of a heartbreaker.

Any fellow UK people know why the third Johns Green Lantern omnibus is non existent on speedyhen and £60+ everywhere else? I paid £46 and £41 for the first two and an extra £20+ is too much.
