Well they keep releasing omnibi from their events so I think it's just a matter of time till the first completed run gets the treatment. And since Aquaman is a omnibus sized run by Johns, whom's work has almost been omnibussed completely, I think that one will lead the charge within max. 2 years, probably just 1

Same for Wonder woman, you can go classic with Perez or recent with Azzarello. And for Green arrow you could do a Lemire one once it advances more or go fo Mike Grell's run in 2 omniboo.
Not even a BATMAN one! DC's omnibus department is very slow. Slower than Marvel, I mean.

I would love to see every omniboo you mentioned. Plus: O'Neil's Question and Simone's Birds of Prey. Also, the usual suspects: Byrne's Superman, Waid's Flash, etc.

And that's my point! They are giving us Hawkman and Superboy omniboo but they left out their most deserving characters. Would hurt them to just put out that Morrison Batman omnibus? Thanks for the list btw. Been researching my next omnibus purchase, the most interesting from Dc is Doom patrol but why did it have to be $150? I may go for the Animal man one, how's the binding on that one? If it's like Planetary then I'm fine with it, if it's like Sleeper it's an instant buy and if it's like New Teen titans vol 1 I might skip it.

I find it more strange that there's no Batman. LOL.
That said, I'd scoop up any of what you suggested in a heartbeat.
Heck, I've said they should put Grell's Longbow Hunters in Absolute form, too.

Or just chunky trades (and not like the 140-160 pages long ones like Grell'S Green Arrow).

Animal Man is fine, it's thinner than Planetary so it works well with the same binding.
I'm sure Doom Patrol will go below $100 after the release date.
It's not an omnibus, only 2 hc-s, but have you read Morrison's 7 soldiers of Victory?

Yeah, I don't understand that at all. I suppose I could see why they'd hesitate to release it in such an expensive format, but if you're going to give us standard trades, at least bulk them up a bit! These skinny 6 issue books are practically an insult!

They've changed a lot over the years so it could be true but I doubt it. DC releases two kinds of omnibuses for the most part. 1) Modern but not current Johns and morrison material. 2) Event omnibuses. There are obviously some others but the bulk are Johns' books or events. They have NEVER released a modern omnibus, nothing newer than 10 years unless it was an event. They haven't even released all of John's GL or any of his Superman.

Like I said, they've changed a lot over the last couple of years so they could surprise me but DC has shown it's pretty slow to adopt deluxe sized hardcovers. The New 52 would be a great time to change that so I guess we'll see.

They're not even really "event" books, villain's month I guess is the closest To an "event" but the rest is pretty much number 1's, number 0, and then this year is the Five years later Future's End Tie Ins, which I hope Future's end gets it's Omnibus after as well.

I gave up 20 pages before the end of the second book. Maybe something wrong with me, but i hate those books.

Nothin wrong with you, Morrison is not everybody's cup of tea and 7soV became a bit disjointed by the end (not as much as Final Crisis but it's still not the blockbuster ending with the team kicking evil sheeda ass like one would expect.)

No, I haven't. I didn't find any OHC'S of it, only regular hc's and tpb's. Which one do you recommend?

Yeah it's a shame there is no deluxe edition or an omnibus (some artwork in it would deserve it). The 2 hc-s are 400 pages long each and theere are 2 versions of the tpb: a 4 volume and a 2 volume version (the later should be basically the same as the hc-s, just softcover).
Last time I checked the hc-s cost only 5-6 bucks more than the tpbs so I would go for those (it's your usual DC quality with the thin paper and the black cardboard cover).

Morales blew me away in Identity Crisis. It's almost impossible to believe how much he has sucked lately. I mean, this guy almost ruined Grant Morrison's Action Comics.
