This is irritating. I was looking forward to this one. Maybe DC will attempt to redeem themselves and finally give us some omnis of Moore's run.

I've yet to read the original run. I'd much rather read that, being I already have the Moore run.

Exactly. They've released a number of older Batman HC collections collected by author and none are oversized.

No, these things are junk. Check out the general omnibus thread for some conversation. You can probably still get a good deal on the Absolute which is not only a superior build but is also one of the rare special editions that has extras that are worth it.

I don't know they just don't adopt OHC as the standard hardcover format. Marvel doesn't even have premiere standard trim hc's anymore

while there is no ohc there is a Gallery edition if you fancy those things.
