For GL, I highly recommend reading GL Corps, Emerald Warriors, and the rest of the tie ins/interconnected books along with the main GL title. It's the main reason I've held off on those omnibus books, I feel they're incomplete without the companion series issues.

As far as I know the current trades of his GA series collect 10-12 issues. Could be wrong though. I don't buy them as I have the singles. But I really should buy them to support it
Sounds like their highly recommend. Which is nice to hear, given most stories and runs around here are discussed highly negatively. I'll add the first one to my next order.

Also, for reading Johns' Green Lantern run, would you suggest also reading Green Lantern Corps? I'm always open to reading good stories, but if they aren't a major factor in events and if they're not great, I'd rather just read through GL as it is cheaper and a lot of the trades for GLC are out of print.
Omnis and yes, definitely. GLC is awesome.
    Cyclops was right

    Mike Grell:

I would be all over this. I freakin love Grell. He was one of the creators that got me into comics. Green Arrow, Warlord, Sable, Stayslayer. I own all that.

I would definitely be down for a deluxe LBH. And an Absolute. And an Artist Edition. Yes, all three of them.

    Yesss.....

He also wrote a pretty good Iron Man....It's been awhile...15 years? He followed Busiek.

I just realized I put "new" instead of "knew" I hate my keyboard.

I should just look it up, but has he written anything recently? At least in this decade....?

This makes me very uneasy about the upcoming GL collections of his. I'm a firm believer in voting with your money, there are plenty of authors/artists I don't support based on far less than this. I hope this turns out to be false for all parties involved.

Not really. I think his last regular comic gig was Warlord and that was about 10 years ago.

This is very disturbing. I really enjoyed his GL but these allegations are a deal breaker.

Looks like he wrote an Arrow tie in comic back in 2013.

Yeah, he's had some one-offs here and there and even done some art but nothing regular. He's almost 70 so he's probably kicking back and taking it easy.

It'a largely the only GL I've read prior to Johns/VS' Rebirth(the mini).

It's very strange, very disturbing, very sad
