Was that not all of Johns' run on Aquaman? The solicit says it's the complete collection.

He wrote it up to issue 25 I believe

I checked it out and first 25 issues were written by Geoff Johns except issue 20. 20 was written by John Ostrander and it wasn't collected in the 4th HC.

Johns wrote the first 25 issues, plus the Justice League crossover and the 2 villains month issues, which weren't collected in trade.

I've just noticed that there is a chunky Dark Horse/DC trade that came out last year. Anyone has any opinions on it? I remember liking the Batman-HB-Starman story but that was more than 10 years ago when I've read it and I have no idea about the other stuff in the trade (Superman-Terminatr and Superman-Predator, Batgirl-Ghost).

I can't remember what issue 20 was about. Either way, last time I read Ostrander on Aquaman, it was a straightforward plot read.

Issue 20 featured The Others, and was collected in the first Aquaman and the Others collection along with Aquaman Annual 1 (also featuring the Others and written by Ostrander.) Neither had any bearing on Johns' run as I recall.

Yeah all set there, really hope they do not completely cancel like they do sometimes and make you reorder. 37 is a great price for Hardcover of his run hopefully can still get it for that.

That's right! I forgot Ostrander wrote Aquaman and the Others. This all makes sense now. Thanks!

Ostrander created the team in the Aquaman Annual and Issue #20 but didn't actually end up writing the ongoing series, that was Dan Jurgens. Why? nobody knows.

Maybe be just didn't want to? I recall seeing his name on V.1 of the tpb. I suppose that's why

Maybe if Ostrander had stuck around Aquaman & The Others wouldn't have sucked as much as it did...?
