There is precedent for DC releasing a deluxe of a story even after releasing an Absi or omni. For example, The Invisibles got,a line of deluxes post omni, Ronin is getting a deluxe post Absi, Planetary got an omni post Absi, etc. I wouldn't give up hope for deluxes, but I do think you'll have to wait until the run is through being collected in Absi before you get another format for the series, and that could take at least a couple years.

yeah, and everybody failed to mention it when we listed our recommendations for DC newbies. Strange.
It's a Batman light Bat book and everybody should read it. There is an Infinite Crisis issue but it's just that the skies is red and all hell broke loose in the city. Doesn't require any knowledge about the event IIRC.

An actual Batman omnibus? Madness! Neal Adams is a good choice to start i suppose my only concern is that i've read that in the batman by neal adams hardcover/paperbacks they've already released, some of the issues have been digitally recoloured by neal adams and his digital colouring is horrendous so hopefully they undo that with this omnibus.

I adore the paper those omnibuses were printed on. Wish more collections used it.

Planetary is fine with an Omnibus. Definitely don't need deluxes for that, but I wish Transmetropolitan would've started off like Y with the Deluxes instead of jumping to overpriced Absolute.. Here's hoping they aren't too costly. I'd rather not have to wait even longer to get Transmetropolitan.

Count me in for Absolute Transmet. I'd've settled for an omnibus of a few deluxes, but beggars can't be choosers.

I am stoked on a lot of the hardcover announcements from SDCC. I am all over Absolute Transmet. Will probably sell my run to put towards it.

Knowing Book Depository, they'd never honour it anyway.
