A version that didn't change the appearance, but just was a literal 'Rogue-in-reverse' and downloaded their own personality (and powers!) to those touched at a 1:60 ratio (touch for 1 second, lasts for 1 minute, touch for 1 minute, lasts a whole hour, avoid longer than that, to avoid a Carol Danvers 'permanent mind-wipe' situation where it's forever!) could be fun as well. By uploading the powers as well, their 'dupes' would be contagious as well, and since they don't look any different, things could get out of hand quickly as no one knows which of their allies to trust, and which have already been 'infected' with the rogue personality!

A whole team of 'reverse X-Men' could be fun. Reverse Cyclops is called Charybis, and instead of his eyes being a portal to the punch dimension, his mouth is a portal to the darkforce dimension. When he opens his mouth, a howling vortex begins as everything in front of him goes spiralling into the darkforce dimension (even if the stuff involved, cars, people, etc. wouldn't fit in his mouth. Shenanigans!). He wears a special mouth-guard to keep the portal from forming normally, allowing him to speak and eat and stuff.

As reverse-Wolverine would say, "Our fearless leader, with the mutant power to suck really hard."

    Name: Alan Truman

    Code Name: Port-Al

Bio: A Stamford graduate w. an eidetic memory, Alan worked as a Technical Communicator (preparing instruction manuals, how-to guides, journal articles, and other supporting documents to communicate complex and technical information more easily) before being dragged into super heroics. Though his power manifested as a teen, he never actively used them until his early thirties.

Powers: Alan is able to convert the front half of his body into a portal to anywhere he has a working knowledge of. Examples include the bottom of the ocean, at which point water will expel itself out of him at more than 8 tons per square inch. The core of the sun, letting super condensed hydrogen/helium plasma out at 27 million degrees Fahrenheit. The vacuum of deep space, which will pull anything in its reach into and through Al, leaving him unharmed. The heart of Chernobyl, letting him emit radiation at 3700 kBq per square meter.
Alan can also open portal to much less dangerous places, such as his or someone else’s apartment, a park, a movie theater etc.

Limitations: Alan can’t move while acting as a portal, so he needs to make sure he’s facing exactly where he needs to be when using his power. He is aware of his surrounding while active though, so can stop and start using his power as needed.
The back half of Alan’s body remains flesh and blood while using his power, and is vulnerable to attack or injury.
Alan’s portals are almost completely useless for travel purposes, as they are literally only as large as an outline of his body. He can’t teleport himself, and most ppl can’t fit through him to or from another location.
Alan is an average person who engages in moderate physical exercise. Before becoming a super hero he’d only ever been in two fights his entire life.

That's a fun use of teleportation portals, and one I've long wanted to see Ilyanna or Blink use (to date, only America Chavez, has, that I know of, creating a portal to 'the punch dimension' from which Cyclops' optic blasts originate).

Creating a portal to the bottom of the sea would be fun, in that the temperature there is below freezing, but the pressure is so high, the water can't turn into ice. It would come flying out of the portal at *insane* speeds, with vast force, and immediately turn into masses and masses of ice!

I've come up with a LOT of ideas over the years.... Some were boringly simplistic. Others seemed simple but had weird twists.

One is a liquid metal person. No not inspired by the T-1000 actually. It was inspired by an old Capri-sun commercial. The commercial showed kids drinking the juice-boxes and changing to a liquid form where they did a bunch of sports stuff. So this character can change to a liquid form and move around like that. But this makes them extra strong too, and the only real way to injure them is to vaporize parts of their body. Various methods of immobilization are possible. Weird random power: she has an aura she can't easily control that makes any ice within a few feet of her melt. She can somewhat control it via meditation, but mostly it happens on it's own... maybe. It basically has it's own battery charge thing and if she stays away from ice for a while when it triggers it can melt a LOT of ice. She can force it with effort of will but it's tiring to do that. Appearance: in human form the only tell that she's a mutant is her eyes. The irises aren't blue or brown or any other normal color but they're metallic silver. The same color her body turns when her metamorphic powers activate. If injured in her human form the injury automatically shifts to metal which can simply re-form. She can make a wide variety of shapes but not increase her size.

    Real name: Kori Octiere
    Mutant name: Alabaster
    Age: 21

Background: Korey grew up in Cleveland, Ohio and was raised by her single mother alongside her sister, Stephanie. She grew up modestly and they did not have much but despite that Korey always had the ability to make others feel loved and happy. As she grew and transitioned in her early teens, she struggled internally with who she was and the world at large. Being trans and then having her mutant powers manifest at the age of 16 in the middle of the night as she cried after one of her bad days took a toll on her. She hid her powers from her sister and her mother for a short time until she could no longer do it. Her mother and sister were in awe but her mother was not surprised, she always felt an aura around Korey she could not explain. When Korey turned 19 her mother had been in a horrible car accident and passed away, this put a strain on Korey's mental state but she kept going, having faith and changing peoples lives with her powers in the best ways she could. She later moved to Krakoa and joined the X-men.

Personality: Korey is a very kind and loving person, she dislikes violence but will not hesitate to deal out justice to those who cause harm to the innocent. She has a strong faith in god but does not practice any religion, she strongly believes in love and kindness. She is also very witty and has a sharp tongue at times in a comedic way.

Powers and Abilities: She has the ability to tap into a force of glossy and golden light energy that is capable of creating force-fields as well as energy beams and teleportation, at a very high level she is capable of causing massive destruction and damage, she is also able to use the energy/light to fly. She is also emphatic and feels the emotions of those around her, her light used at a very low level can heal and bring joy and relief to those around her. It is unknown where this force comes from but it is suspected to be an unknown dimension beyond the knowledge of anyone on Krakoa, Emma has once tried to probe her mind but found it impossible, she explained only that she found 'blinding heat' inside of her mind and could not get any answers. Korey is also skilled with technology.

    Thanks for liking the idea!
I’ve got to look up that America Chavez feat, it sounds cool. And, I didn’t know about the water/ice/pressure conundrum. That’s insane!

Yes the idea of reverse X-Men sounds incredibly fun, like the idea of Cyclops like blasting beams through the mouth and would be fun to have a new Wolverine like mutant named Dorian Black(a play on Dorian Grey) ,whatever blunt, piercing injury ,even bullet wound is inflicted on him,is instead of affecting him immediately hurts or kills his attacker, while his wound heals instantaneously ..even punching him is painful. He'd be a walking living voodoo doll!

Wow, I haven't created a Marvel OC in ages. I think I'll have to try this. Maybe something like, "What If Mystique and Destiny Had a Biological Daughter?" Stay tuned. I think I already know what to call her: Rose Raven.

    Another one muahaha

    Real name: Taquan Beane
    Mutant name: Goliath
    Age: 20

Background: Taquan grew up in the south side of Chicago with his grandmother, he was in and out of detention centers and was found to be too much to handle because of his anger. He was a angry child but found refuge in watching any screen that showed heroes such as Avengers, Fantastic four and etc. He was 15 when his powers manifested and he thought his life would take a turn for the very best, he would be able to do something amazing with his life despite where he'd come from. During a robbery one afternoon he attempted to capture the thief but could not control his powers, tearing up the convenient store and entire street, "mutant!" someone screamed as the cops pulled up and he was arrested and put in a detention facility for mutants. This fueled his hatred for people in general, he felt helpless until a very particular telepath came and had him released with several other mutants at the facility.

Personality: His personality is very brash and blunt, he dislikes being looked down on and feeling like he's not helpful. His anger is a signature trait for his personality but there's another side that is childishly happy, optimistic and joyful that inspires his teammates. He has strong leadership qualities and does not back down to anyone, at one point he disagreed with how Krakoa was running things after he found out one of his mutant precog friends were not allowed on the island, rumor has it is that he stormed in on a quiet council meeting and punched Xavier and once kicked Scott summers in the back so hard he flew through one of the Krakoan gates.

Powers: Goliath possess super strength, hearing, telekinesis, gravity manipulation, energy manipulation down to the molecular level and low-level reality warping abilities. he is an omega level mutant.

Another idea I had was a super-subtle mutation. The person simply had a sixth sense about everything. She worked as a police officer and used her powers for police stuff. Since her boss knew what she could do, she often ended up doing special assignments like helping the bomb squad, or hostage "negotiations". Or sometimes security at special events. Her power was a psionic ability that when she wasn't concentrating was a sort of short range 360° vision. If she focused she could do stuff like seeing inside a building, or inside a box. In the case of bomb squad work she'd stay far away from the bomb as a technician worked on it. She could focus her powers to the point where she could trace individual wires in the bomb including those concealed from the naked eye. Ultimately it was up to the technician what to do with the info, but she was able to give info they couldn't safely obtain otherwise. In hostage situations she could relatively quickly and easily locate the people and booby traps in a building and give that info to SWAT. Similarly she can scan a crowd and identify people with items that shouldn't be there.

But that was before M-Day. After losing her powers, she got crippled when someone intentionally rammed into her vehicle. If she'd had her powers she'd have seen it coming and simply avoided it.
