She isn't receiving much of a media push at all. DC can do so much better. Look at Marvel and what they're doing with their female characters. Crystal, Angela, Spider-Woman, X-23, Ms Marvel, Quake, Black Widow, Squirrel Girl, etc..(cringes) are all front and center. Meanwhile, Vixen is MIA, Supergirl also MIA, Batwoman MIA, Bumblebee once again MIA, Raven, Mera, Starfire, Black Canary and Hawkgirl are all being used. Katana will get a mini, Batgirl is Batgirl, Stargirl will most likely go into limbo. Equinox, Emiko Queen, Power Ring & Element Woman are rising stars but that's all that'll ever be. DC can do a lot more with their female characters.
How about a new female Firestorm?

You make it seem like Marvel has been more supportive of female characters than DC.
DC females who currently have their own titles:
Batgirl
Black Canary
Catwoman
Harley Quinn
Starfire
Wonder Woman
Power Girl has been in a mini-series with Harley Quinn and is also in the Earth 2: Society series; Poison Ivy, Katana, and Raven will be in mini-series in 2016.
There's also the DC Comics Bombshells (Digital First) comic book, and they're pushing the 'DC Super Hero Girls' initiative to attract young girls to versions of their female stars.
Marvel's past track record with female comic books hasn't always been stellar, but they seem to be trying again, which is good. DC has typically been better about supporting books starring females when compared to Marvel, so saying "DC can do a lot more with their female characters" is somewhat silly since they have been more supportive of them for a longer period of time.
Mera, even though she's not a listed choice.
From the list, Zatanna and Supergirl. And ideally a Supergirl more in line with the TV show.
Anita Fite
Donna Troy
Cassandra Cain
Traci 13
Natasha Irons
Fire and Ice
And yet, more of Marvel's female superheroes are getting better marketing, better publicity and better stories. I guess I'll been enjoying what Marvel has to offer, because in my opinion (I know we aren't allowed to have those on here) even though DC supposedly doing better, they are still slacking.
You're ignoring the fact that Marvel's latest efforts are much more recent. Marvel has tried to add new female-led titles before, but they have usually fizzled out and disappeared within a year. DC had female titles right from the get-go with the New 52 back in September of 2011, and some of those books were around for longer than just a year before they ended for whatever reason. It's only been since March that we saw the last issue of Batwoman; who'd have thought that would have made it that far (especially after Williams and Blackman were gone as of issue #24 back in late 2013?).
Yes, DC isn't giving there books starring female leads quite as much of a push / spotlight as Marvel currently is, but they hadn't been as quick to drop many of those books as Marvel had been in the recent past. They've already been supporting those books for far longer.
Yeah, Marvel is doing a great job right now with its very loud cries of "diversity!" but this is a new development for them, while DC has always had more female-centric titles that typically last longer. I think there might be some merit to the idea that females at Marvel do better in team titles, but that's almost entirely in thanks to the X-Men (who have always been extremely progressive about this sort of thing)
When the first Marvel NOW! push came along, they had several titles staring female characters. Nearly all those books died so quickly the average reader might not have even known they existed in the first place. DC on the other hand, kept their female titles running much longer.
It cant be argued that Marvel is far superior in marketing and advertising, but in regards to female representation they're new to a game that DC has been playing since the 40's and 50's.
None of this excuses DC's crap marketing choices, but Marvel's not an example of how to do things properly, despite their current popularity. If you think so, then explain why it has taken them so long to get a black guy into his own movie (a decade since Iron Man) and even longer for a female (Captain Marvel, which keeps getting pushed back).
"We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another, as if we were one single tribe."
~ Black Panther.
Marvel even with low sales has let the creators finish their storylines.secret avengers, superior foes, loki. X23 run for 21 issues, if they did this same policy for black widow it would had been canceled on last run on issue 14.
it's better cancel and start over again at some point of the future, than keeping get bad stories being dragged out. Batwomn lost momentum and popularity when willaims II got out, the character will need a bigger push to people give it another chance.
at the end, only museums live on the past. Dc did better on the past, but marvel is upping their game. while DC still don't get a solo for lois ( and keep draggin her to the mud) and ww has one of the worse runs.
I'm not sure what your point is, Batwoman ran longer than 21 issues and had more than enough time. And even though her solo got canned, a version of the character is still the lead character in Bombshells. I don't doubt that they're planning something with her either since she's in that Bad Blood movie.
Also, I'm not sure what the significance of Lois not getting a book is. Yes, it could be interesting, but Marvel isn't putting out titles for some of their early character either. You'll notice there's no solos for Invisible Woman, Wasp, or Jean Grey.
after blackman and williams got out, the book was dragged out on the mud.
bombshells is a popular book, with a strong push by merchandise and it also features different characters like harley, zatanna. well supergirl is on tv show and dc is doing nothing with her, same for vixen that is on a cartoon on arrowverse;
Lois is one of the most well known and like female characters. the yA book already has a sequel;
jean grey, invisible, woman are very know for playing on teams. It's hard to get a solo with all the teams conections and lack of their own supporting cast and marvel just didn't cared for its femalle characters on the past
I vote for a team book starring:
Vixen
Mera
Star Sapphire
Bumblebee
Fire
Ice
Onyx Adams
Batwoman
Hawkwoman
Isis
Zatanna
Ya'Wara
Phantom Lady
Element Woman
And a new Madam Fatal
