She isn't receiving much of a media push at all. DC can do so much better. Look at Marvel and what they're doing with their female characters. Crystal, Angela, Spider-Woman, X-23, Ms Marvel, Quake, Black Widow, Squirrel Girl, etc..(cringes) are all front and center. Meanwhile, Vixen is MIA, Supergirl also MIA, Batwoman MIA, Bumblebee once again MIA, Raven, Mera, Starfire, Black Canary and Hawkgirl are all being used. Katana will get a mini, Batgirl is Batgirl, Stargirl will most likely go into limbo. Equinox, Emiko Queen, Power Ring & Element Woman are rising stars but that's all that'll ever be. DC can do a lot more with their female characters.

Marvel's past track record with female comic books hasn't always been stellar, but they seem to be trying again, which is good. DC has typically been better about supporting books starring females when compared to Marvel, so saying "DC can do a lot more with their female characters" is somewhat silly since they have been more supportive of them for a longer period of time.

DC had female titles right from the get-go with the New 52 back in September of 2011, and some of those books were around for longer than just a year before they ended for whatever reason. It's only been since March that we saw the last issue of Batwoman; who'd have thought that would have made it that far (especially after Williams and Blackman were gone as of issue #24 back in late 2013?).

Yeah, Marvel is doing a great job right now with its very loud cries of "diversity!" but this is a new development for them, while DC has always had more female-centric titles that typically last longer. I think there might be some merit to the idea that females at Marvel do better in team titles, but that's almost entirely in thanks to the X-Men (who have always been extremely progressive about this sort of thing)

When the first Marvel NOW! push came along, they had several titles staring female characters. Nearly all those books died so quickly the average reader might not have even known they existed in the first place. DC on the other hand, kept their female titles running much longer.

It cant be argued that Marvel is far superior in marketing and advertising, but in regards to female representation they're new to a game that DC has been playing since the 40's and 50's.

None of this excuses DC's crap marketing choices, but Marvel's not an example of how to do things properly, despite their current popularity. If you think so, then explain why it has taken them so long to get a black guy into his own movie (a decade since Iron Man) and even longer for a female (Captain Marvel, which keeps getting pushed back).

I'm not sure what your point is, Batwoman ran longer than 21 issues and had more than enough time. And even though her solo got canned, a version of the character is still the lead character in Bombshells. I don't doubt that they're planning something with her either since she's in that Bad Blood movie.
