Default Since Doom is considered the most popular villain, why doesn't Marvel give him a book?

Well I was thinking Magneto's book sold well.

I didn't really paid attention on Loki's book but I think it sold well too.

So why not give Doom his own ongoing solo?

Well, probably no pitches that Marvel felt would work. Couple that with the fact that Hickman has been making heavy use of Doom for the past few years, so that would have made it more complicated.

I think Marvel will give him soon. Maybe we'll just have to wait. After Secret Wars perhaps?

Also Magneto and this has not stopped Marvel to make a book about him.

It's long been rumored that he will be a continuing character in another book after Secret Wars.... maybe Bendis has grabbed him for that purpose in Invincible Iron Man.

Villain books for the most part don't sale. Also Doom had Doom 2099 which was one of the better 2099 books.

Bendis is doing another book spinning out of Iron Man. He said it is supposed to launch after like issue 8 or so. Could be Doom centered book.

I like Doctor Doom, but I don't want him to have an ongoing book. I think villains benefit more, the less we see of them. And his book would try and make him an anti-hero which would be awful.

Having said that, a mini series could be pretty good though. As long as it's not ongoing, a Doom book could work.

There might actually be a decent chance the comic spinning out of Iron Man could be Dr. Doom. According to this:

    http://www.comicbookresources.com/ar...s-in-the-works

it has something to do with the last page of the first issue.

Villain books really work when they can be viewed as a protagonist, Doom is certainly more of a protagonist than most villains out there, but not at the level Magneto and Loki are.

What are we going to do, watch him violently suppress dissent in his country? Invade NYC and try to kill the Fantastic Four? Build Doombots? Have secret meetings with other villains?
