But that's just it. It will never be hot enough to make them sweat, because they control everything. Our entire planet is doomed because coal miners thought they deserved the right to die of emphyzema.

The fact that you don't think this is a nightmare means you can never be redeemed, but as long as your happy living in a world without automobile regulations and women's health.

This is quite surprising considering all the not crazy things you've said about republicans and conservatives. (sarcasm)

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

The Trump administration has considered more than $6 billion in cuts at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, according to preliminary budget documents obtained by The Washington Post. The plan would squeeze public housing support and end most federally funded community development grants, which provide services such as meal assistance and cleaning up abandoned properties in low-income neighborhoods.

It’s the latest evidence that the administration is following through on President Trump’s goal to cut domestic spending by $54 billion to bolster the defense budget. HUD’s budget would shrink by about 14 percent to $40.5 billion in fiscal 2018, which begins in October.

HUD Secretary Ben Carson has taken a staunchly conservative stance on public assistance in the past, saying dependency on HUD programs could become “a way of life” for recipients. While suggesting significant cuts, the preliminary budget maintains the same level of funding to rental assistance programs and avoids reductions that could directly put families on the streets. Instead, it targets funding for building maintenance and community development projects, although HUD recommends in the budget document that those projects receive funding from another source.

Another horrible friend of Trump's just appears to have contacted Assange:

Nigel Farage Just Visited The Ecuadorian Embassy In London

Asked by BuzzFeed News if he’d been visiting Julian Assange, the former UKIP leader said he couldn’t remember what he’d been doing in the building.

I merely stage the facts, that the Republicans' lives in no way benefit our own. You're welcome to argue even one way in which a woman benefits from living in a Republican country.

It's not a question of if impeachment is coming, but when all the evidence is concrete and conclusive enough that they're going to prison for it.
And not only is it related to Watergate via the usual dirty tricks, but an actual water gate, with the rollback of environmental protections.

Pretty soon, every stream will look like this (sans the sign, of course):

I don't know, WBE. You know better than anyone that there are a lot of Republicans in the House of Representatives who will never vote to impeach a Republican president. They don't see impeachment as a mechanism to remove a president who's broken the law. They see impeachment as a tool to use against a Democratic president.

Study: Hillary Clinton Ran One of the Worst Campaigns in Years

A new study by the Wesleyan Media Project has found that the 2016 presidential campaign run by Hillary Clinton is without a doubt one of the worst-run political operations in years.

Interestingly, the directors of the study dispute the argument that “advertising doesn’t matter” in elections. Clinton’s failure to advertise in certain key states, they argue, was the biggest reason for her defeat by Donald Trump.

The study also backs the view that Clinton’s focus on identity politics and emphasis on condemning her opposition contributed to a campaign message devoid of substance with no clear message on policy.

Frankly the Democrats need to get their act together, instead of trying to pick the best candidate, they decided it was Hillary's turn to be President and lost to Trump.

They still keep proven losers like Nancy Pelosi in positions of power. The average age of Democrat polticans in both houses is 60 to 70.

The Democrat party is about rewarding career polticans rather then picking the best leaders and investing in the next generation of policy makers.

The more the public learns about Trump and his campaign's crimes (they are crimes of treason, no doubt about it), the more their hand is forced. And if their hands don't move... 2018 will be a blood bath, and Democrats take control to impeach in the next Congress.

Hillary made the same mistake in last year's general election that she made in the 2008 primaries. It's sad that she failed to learn from her mistakes. Maybe it's just that growing up in Chicago, she learned to hate Detroit and Milwaukee and Green Bay, so she never really felt comfortable visiting those places.

It is a nightmare. History is not going to be kind. There will be chapters dedicated to this administration that students will find impossible to believe until their teachers show them the archived footage.

The way it works for both parties is this: whatever the crime is or isn't, if it's not hurting the party in question, the party heads won't do anything about it (certainly not without hard evidence that can't be refuted). At least that's what I have seen for the past 40-something years.

I actually expect Trump to be the one that starts throwing his team under the bus.

    Trump to nukes: You're fired!

You could be right, but we can't discount Republican scheming like gerrymandering and voter suppression, both tactics that I suspect are still in play since the GOP is all about playing the long game. And I suspect they're already plotting to stack the deck in their favor for 2018, regardless of the ongoing madness with Trump and the Ivans. Also, and this frustrates me no end, Democratic voters don't turn out nearly as much for midterms as they do the general election, that said, people have to be kept informed, and, if possible, kept angry about all the **** the GOP does between now and 2018 so they will upend the Republican apple cart.
