CNN’s GOP women go off on Trump: ‘It is not locker room talk — he is talking about sexual assault’

Republican CNN commentators joined together in an all female panel tonight to discuss the impact Donald Trump’s 2005 hot mic moment will impact his campaign and what it means for women and for the Republican party. Pundits have called it deplorable and called Trump a “dirty old man” in the few short hours since the news broke. These women joined the chorus.

Host John Berman, filling in for Anderson Cooper tonight, said that it sounded like something college students moving to campus “might be hearing about or warned about on orientations on sexual assault.”

Former Ted Cruz communications director Amanda Carpenter agreed, saying she sees this as a broader problem with the Republican party and hopes her fellow republicans will swiftly come out against these statements.

“This is bigger than Trump,” she said. “This is about the Republican — and if there is any elected — party. A Republican official, who doesn’t know what to say, they should call up a rape survivor tonight and ask them what they heard when they heard Donald Trump say these words? This isn’t as Reince Priebus said talking about something that Trump describes women this way. Trump is saying this is something that he did. This isn’t harassment. It is not locker room talk. He is talking about sexual assault. There is no other way to frame this.”

I wanna say that PM's making a (heh) black-or-white fallacy. He's making it sound like there are only two set actions that BLM can take. Nuance is usually the first thing to go when making an irrational claim.

And also arguing that as a group of black people they don't REALLY have the normal human capacity to care for their fellow man. They're just faking it to attack the police and the fact they don't protest every murder "proves" it. This I behind every "what about black on black crime?" argument ever.

BREAKING NEWS: Donald Trump apologized Saturday morning for sexually aggressive remarks he made a decade ago.

Trump said in a video statement that his 2005 comments -- in which he bragged about trying to have sex with a married woman and being able to grope women -- do not represent who he is.
But, he said, "I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize."

He pledged to be a better man.

He added, "This is nothing more than a distraction from the important issues we're facing today. We're losing our jobs, we're less safe than we were eight years ago and Washington is totally broken. Hillary Clinton and her kind has run our country into the ground."

Does he get off that easily for admitting to sexual assault on women? That is a felony, a crime. And thinks an apology will make it all better?

On Friday, The Washington Post revealed video of the Republican presidential nominee bragging to Billy Bush about non-consensually groping women (a.k.a, sexual assault): “When you’re a star, they let you do it—you can do anything,” Trump said in the unearthed 2005 Access Hollywood footage. “Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”

But don't worry. I'm sure Trump's apologies are totally sincere and he would never, ever hold a grudge.
