I disagree entirely. Trump's not in any "catbird seat". He has no REAL support, just "polling support" during a period when the vast majority of people are not paying any attention to politics at all. He's been "entertaining" people by biting the heads off chickens, but nobody really wants to see him in the center ring.

Just to back up a little bit as I can never seem to keep up with the flow of this thread to commentate before another issues arises ...

Wasn't Clinton way in the lead about this time during the run up to the 2008 election and Obama barely a blip? And wasn't Giuliani in a similar dominant position for the GOP that Trump is?

Stats are great but you need to figure out which ones matter... Hint: Unemployment numbers are cooked... like a Thanksgiving turkey. It doesn't take into account people that stopped looking, among other issues.

Also, the "recovery" from the recent Depression was sloooowwww... One of the slowest in history.

Yes the recovery has been slow and painful, but that's because the recession was more than just a momentary blip on the radar caused by shenanigans on Wall Street, and it's not possible just to go back to the way we were living in 2007 because our economy is undergoing a long term transition and we're still trying to cope with that. These days you can't just walk down to your local steel mill and get a job that will support you for the rest of your life. Today's job market is far more competitive than it ever has been and while that means that some will fall by the wayside, it also pushes people to be better educated, more ambitious, and harder working than ever before, and its pretty ironic to hear the younger generation labeled as whiners and slackers by a bunch of people whose livelihood comes from mostly from exploiting connections and seniority.

I jumped into a live feed as they were reading the charges and saw him openly crying, and then sobbing when he was bought in front of the judge before being remanded

Suspension proceedings are underway after photos surfaced online of students at The Citadel military college wearing white Ku Klux Klan-type hoods, Charleston station WCIV reported Thursday.


The images show cadets dressed in white and wearing pointed white hoods with eye holes. Citadel President Lt. Gen. John Rosa said in a statement the students were apparently dressed for a "Ghosts of Christmas Past" skit and singing Christmas carols, and that an investigation is ongoing.
