I want to spray a rainbow on my face and shout 'WHAT A LOVELY DAY'
Just posted this in the Minorities thread. I"ll post it here for your viewing pleasure...
Pat Boone tells Obama to "quit so often calling crimes that involve a black person 'racist'!" because "our society was truly becoming colorblind".
Boone said Obama has instead portrayed America as a racist nation.
"We are not!" Boone exclaimed.
From the article,
Race, Boone said in his online column, had little or nothing to do with recent killings of unarmed black men by police, including the cases of Trayvon Martin in Florida and Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo.
After referring to Brown as "a very large black man" and referring to people of "the black persuasion," Boone also claimed that the June 17 slaughter of nine black worshippers at a historic black church in Charleston, S.C., was less about racism and more about hating Christianity.
More goodness...
"Though this had a racist element, to be sure, it was more than that and of far greater significance to America than that. This boy wasn't just a sadist, or even criminally insane - he was carefully prepared and led by the Devil himself to kill as many Christians as he could.
"The fact that they were black was an excuse more than a reason," Boone said.
Conservative Fox commentator Bill O'Reilly went on a similar rant Tuesday night when he screamed "Most Americans are not racist. They're not!"
Privilege never felt so good....
PS, I'm proud to be a member of "the black persuasion". Hey Pat, are there any other songs you want to steal from Black singers and turn them into bland crap?

The tides have fully turned. It's time for bipartisan support of same sex marriage across the board. Put this (non)issue to bed and lets all agree that two adults who want to get married should be allowed to. Regardless of which dangly bit type they prefer.
The GOP stance on this has always baffled me from a social policy stand point. The party that likes to tout "self responsibility" then turns and says out of the other side of their mouth "we'll tell you who to love."
Oh, what's that? Christianity? Oh well yeah, but get that noise out of politics and stop trying to prescribe your morals to everyone else.
Now this is a Presidential response.
The shoot-from-the-lip real estate mogul trashed immigrants from America's southern neighbor last week while launching his bid for the Republican nomination.
That led Univision's entertainment division to sever ties with the Miss Universe Organization, which Trump partly owns, and scratch plans to air the pageant next month.
In a Thursday appearance on Fox, Trump said he's "going to have to sue Univision now, because I speak negatively about trade with Mexico."
He said he feels "love for the people of Mexico," insisted he had not said all its immigrants are degenerates, and claimed the network just wants him to "stop telling the facts" about the border and lopsided trade agreements.
I've always said if Trump wants to sue someone, he should go after the person that keeps putting that dead animal on his head.

In all truth this just made things easier for the GOP. Half their base is in favor of gay marriage. Especially the younger crowd. Their big apprehension was the evangelical vote that wouldn't support a candidate who supported gay marriage. The SCOTUS just took it out of their hands. One less issue for them.
It's our latest reminder of what a crock the statement "Nuh uh. Both parties are just as bad," actually is...
It’s Your Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day!
(And please, for those who those who really felt the "Both Parties are Just as Bad" statement is defensible, remember, I'm still challenging you to write your own essays each day, to keep pace with me, if it's actually "just as bad". Keep in mind, you have to pick someone from politics who has either ran for, held office within the past 5 years, and have multiple verifiable news sources to any quotes/beliefs they might have to build a solid, established track record of stupid that clearly isn't a fluke. Hell, we'll even accept people who help write party platforms within that time frame. Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 350-12, since this was established in July 2014.)
Paul Blair
Paul Blair is a radical anti-gay pastor from Oklahoma, and a big ally of CSGOPOTD alum and Oklahaoma State Rep. Sally Kern, who proudly spoke of Kern's political credentials (i.e. her dedication to oppressing the LGBT community) at the “Rally for Sally” back in 2008. You see, he was all lathered up after she said that gays represent a bigger threat to America than terrorism (since gay rights made people like Blair and Kern victims). Blair is former player for the Chicago Bears (and could easily be operating under the effects of long term head injuries), the pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Edmond, Oklahoma, the founder of Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ, and head of the Reclaiming America For Christ organization. He's also appeared at an anti-hate crimes “Rally for Religious Freedom” where he and anti-gay activists vowed never to stop fighting homosexuality and challenged the Justice Department to prosecute them for their anti-gay stance.
Paul Blair was also the driving force behind a video called “The Criminalization of Christianity” in which he warns that hate crimes legislation is actually a “Pedophile Protection Act”, would “make it possible for a pastor to be prosecuted for doing nothing more than preaching a Biblical sermon on Sunday”. Which would be breaking a commandment about bearing false witness, because hate crime legislation does nothing to criminalize free speech (because that would be an unconstitutional violation of the 1st Amendment now, wouldn't it?) But it would seem that lying is a frequent habit of Pastor Blair, who claims he receives death threats from the gay community over his stance (that are repeatedly unfounded).
These imagined threats were Blair's alleged motivation for making himself a 2012 candidate for the Oklahoma State Senate (endorsed by that anti-gay hate group, the Family Research Council) where he lost in the Republican Primary, earning a shockingly impressive 43% of the vote.
Let's just review some of Paul Blair's most bats*** speeches, shall we?
- December 2nd, 2011: Blair warns the world that "The Devil is behind gay rights and gay culture", before whining how America has gone from "Ozzie and Harriet to Desperate Housewives" and "from True Grit to Brokeback Mountain" (ignoring the fact that True Grit was remade since Brokeback Mountain came out).
- Blair said that the communists are trying to “inculcate homosexual values, or lack of values, into the American culture” in order “to destroy the family” and create “a global utopia", adding that "Satan is the source and ultimate conspirator” behind “the force of communism, the force of the radical homosexual agenda, the secularist movement in America."
- Pastor Blair stages a protest after learning the play, "The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told" is going to be performed in Oklahoma City, trying to have it banned through obscure obscenity laws, proclaiming the performance as "blasphemy".
- Blair compares his battle against gay marriage to be similar to the fight against slavery and Nazi Germany:
We had talked in years past when they made the change as far as the United States Military and just exactly where this is going to lead. Well, now this is on our front doorstep and it’s not just going to stop here. Ultimately, this will be forced upon pastors and our hiring practices and any Christian business within the state of Oklahoma. It’s up to us now to decide that along with our forefather pastors, “resistance to tyranny is obedience to God.” It’s time for us to stand with men like Charles Finney in opposition to slavery and with Dietrich Bonhoeffer to opposition to totalitarian government in Germany, we’re facing much the same thing. The answer really is simple, if we will just adhere to what the rule of law is, the Declaration and the Constitution are very clear. If we follow the rules, this union would function beautifully; unfortunately, we haven’t followed the rules in almost seventy-five years."
I will end by linking you to his call to state government officials to ignore the Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage in 2014, where he declared "the Republic is offically dead". So the good news is, if he really believes that, he won't be running for office as a part of that now-deceased republic any time soon. Even less of a chance after today's Supreme Court ruling, which is an apparent victory for the communists and Satanists. It's scarier that in Oklahoma, a nutter like this actually has a chance of being elected, though, at all.

Just to be clear from my last post, this part of what Trump said about Mexicans....
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best,” he said. “They’re sending people that have lots of problems. And they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs, they’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
Later, he vowed to build a “great wall” along the southern border to keep out immigrants — and to make Mexico pay for it.
What a great guy. Do I really have to add "/sarcasm", or "/scorn"?

I already covered that, it's because it relies on people to act against their basic and perhaps strongest/most important wiring. The need to procreate. You're not going to moralize against that, the best you can hope to do is make people feel guilty about it and maybe gain social currency that way to leverage some other behavior you want to impose on them. At least that's what religious establishments do. Why individuals with no investment in all of that give a damn what other people are doing with their genitals, I have no clue.
And that shocking amount of racism was enough to strike a chord with GOP Primary voters in New Hampshire to see him rocket to 2nd in the polls.

Insanity finds a foothold.
Trump's gains seem connected to perceptions of him as a successful leader on economic issues. Trump easily tops the field when asked which candidate voters think can best handle the economy; 29% choose Trump, 13% Bush, with everyone else at 7% or less. And Trump is the clear leader among Republicans when they are asked which candidate would best handle international trade (27% choose Trump, 14% Bush).
"A successful leader on economic issues"?
This is a man whose casino went bankrupted. Think about it. How does a casino go bankrupt?
