Somehow... don't ask me how... a chain of events has happened that has made conservative media pundits suddenly change course, and now, they are apparently coming out as "Pro-Schoolgirls-Being-Kidnapped-by-Muslim-Terrorists".
Your big candidates so far for this are Ann Coulter, Thomas Purcell, and Eric Erickson, as well as Fox News' Brit Hume and George Will.
Here's how that happens:
1) Boko Haram terrorists in Nigeria kidnap hundreds of schoolgirls.
2) To create global awareness, and motivate world leaders to do something, anything about this tragic turn of events, and rescue the girls, concerned people create the # for BringbackOurGirls on Twitter.
3) Michelle Obama re-Tweets said hashtag.
4) The associative part of the brains of the most polarizing members of the conservative media remembers Michelle Obama is married to the Democratic president.
5) The reflex action in the brains of the conservative media forces them to be against whatever the Democratic president is for causes them to start mocking and deriding the efforts of those who wish to see the girls rescued.
6) Thus, somehow, much like how they have recently begun praising the intelligence of Vladimir Putin for, in their mind, outwitting the sitting president, they have begun to laugh about Muslim extremist terrorists who are an offshoot of Al Qaeda mass kidnapping hundreds of young girls from a school to be sold off as unwilling wives to high bidders to fund their terror network.
Someone might want to remind morons like this, just because people you're against politically are for something, doesn't mean you need to be against it.
