Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner plan move to DC

The couple's planned move with their three children reflects the expectation that Kushner will serve as an adviser to President-elect Donald Trump in some capacity, though the precise role -- potentially complicated by nepotism laws -- remains to be seen.

"I think Jared Kushner, obviously [Trump's] son-in-law is going to be very involved in decision-making," White House chief of staff Reince Priebus said on NBC's "Today" show the week after the election.

    Maybe this will help?

Italian referendum result is unhelpful for EU, but not a fatal blow

But less than eight hours later, Renzi, the Italian prime minister, had announced his resignation after crashing to a 59%-41% defeat in an unnecessary plebiscite on which he staked his political future, heralding a period of uncertainty for Italy, its ailing banks and the eurozone.

With opposition to the referendum led by the populist and unpredictable Five Star Movement (M5S) and the anti-immigration Northern League, led by Matteo Salvini, rightwing, anti-European figures inside and outside Italy were quick to jump on the result as evidence that the anti-establishment tide rising across Europe had not turned.

WBE: Being a life long resident of Indiana, I am disappointed that Mike Pence is getting this far in national politics. I thought his career would get derailed by being Trump's running mate but I was wrong. His presidential aspirations faded away when his Religious Freedom Act drew a lot of fire against it. Companies threatened to leave the state or cancel conventions being booked there.

One thing you may want to add to his dossier is the way Pence Undermined the will of Indiana voters concerning the election of the state's Superintendent of Public Instruction Glenda Ritz who was running on the Democratic ticket. She was the only Democratic candidate elected to a state-wide office so naturally she had a target on her back after that. She got more votes statewide back in 2012 than Pence did.
Unfortunately, she was defeated for reelection.

    Georgia’s Dangerous Rush to Execution

Perhaps the biggest problem with Georgia’s system, and one of the reasons the state carries out so many executions, is that it often fails to provide people with lawyers. Mr. Sallie, for example, missed a filing deadline for a federal review of his case by eight days, in part because he didn’t have a lawyer at the time to help him. And this isn’t just a delay tactic; he has several strong claims about constitutional failings during his trial that, if proved, could require the reversal of his conviction. As things stand, he will be executed without review.

Fundamental fairness, due process and the prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment require the courts to provide an attorney throughout the entire legal process to review a death sentence. Virtually every capital-punishment state has this safeguard. Georgia is an outlier.
When I read this, in all seriousness, I couldn't help by think of this song, which, until now I had thought it was 'dated'. Guess not.

The Orange Devil is flexing his Twitter muscles:

Trump warns of ‘retribution’ if companies move jobs out of U.S.

President-elect Donald Trump on Sunday issued a dramatic warning to companies that they would face “retribution” in the form of tariffs if they move American jobs overseas, setting up a collision with corporate America and the free-market wing of the Republican Party.

In a string of early-morning tweets, Trump said he intends to keep jobs in the United States by lowering taxes for companies and slashing regulations, two key components of his economic agenda. But he also warned that companies that send jobs offshore would face a 35 percent tariff on goods sold back to the United States.

“Any business that leaves our country for another country, fires its employees, builds a new factory or plant in the other country, and then thinks it will sell its product back into the U.S. . . . without retribution or consequence, is WRONG!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

Conservatives Downplayed Fake News. Yesterday It Almost Had A Body Count.

A Fabricated Story Claiming That A D.C. Pizzeria Is A Child-Trafficking Hub Led To A Man With Gun Opening Fire In The Restaurant. Fake news articles alleging that the Washington, D.C., restaurant Comet Ping Pong was a hub for child trafficking were widely shared on social media after the pizzeria was mentioned in hacked emails from Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, that were released by WikiLeaks. As The New York Times reported, “The articles appeared on Facebook and on websites such as The New Nationalist and The Vigilant Citizen, with one headline blaring: ‘Pizzagate: How 4Chan Uncovered the Sick World of Washington’s Occult Elite.’” As a result, the owner of the restaurant and the staff started receiving a torrent of threats via social media, including one message that said, “I will kill you personally.” On December 4, a man walked into the restaurant with an assault rifle and fired “one or more shots,” which did not hit anyone, because he was trying to “self-investigate” the conspiracy theory. This is a sickness that I fear will only get worse since the one that helps spreads the infection will be POTUS with the Angel of Death aka Steve Bannon by his side.

So will that "retribution" be another $7,000,000 tax break to send only half the jobs to Mexico?
