When did Democrats release a Christmas greeting proclaiming a new King was taking office comparing him to Jesus . I'm waiting to know this.

Not everyone believed he was the messiah. The magi knew about a great king being born. Did you call out liberal lunatics for worshiping President Obama?

They didn't. Democrats generally aren't as warm to Christianity as Republicans.

Uh huh...or maybe they have common sense not to paint Barack Obama as Jesus Christ. I mean seriously , they have lost their friggen minds over the guy. Its gonna be great to watch him completely collapse and then how many will race to proclaim him as Christ ? I doubt they will.

Also the "liberals" the "Left" and "Democrats" didn't ever worship Barack Obama. They felt he had an energy and could be that young dynamic leader to turn the country around economically and more. I never read how were supposed to worship Obama. Or how he was some god. That was some insane stuff made up by silly Republicans who didn't understand why a young man like him lured voters to his side.

There is a difference between a man who runs for office , who comes in and runs on hope and a future. About everyone uniting for it and a man who doesn't. Then have the party that represents him proclaim him as Christ in a dumb Holiday message. That shows you the obvious dumb disconnect that party has with reality.

Unlike Trump, who, y'know, has video, audio, and photographic evidence and reports from the victims themselves that confirms him doing exactly that.
Juanita Broaddrick's allegations are considered credible. It's not something that's been proven to have been consensual, partly because of the difficulty of proving a negative.

A complicating factor is that the allegations were litigated in the media in the late 1990s, and the understanding of rape victims has changed since then, so that the reaction would probably be different had the story come out now. The argument that people who say they were raped should automatically be believed is much more mainstream now, especially on the left.

Your right, Conservative Republicans just like to take Christianity and perverse it to do the exact opposite of what it is supposed to be so they can falsely spread their immorality as morality to the sheep that follow them to stay in power.

Its like Bill Mhar once said. The Republicans don't like the real Jesus so they made up thier own.

Conservative mouthpieces took a one-off comment from Oprah Winfrey ("Barack Obama is The One") and turned it into somehow all liberals worshiping Obama as "the Messiah." They conveniently ignored all of the criticism Obama received from the left, whether from Rachel Madow, Jon Stewart, Keith Olbermann, or whoever.

Two years ago, "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" ran a profile of former U.S. Senator Don Balfour, who was at the time, the longest sitting Georgia State Senator, riding high after making a fortune as an executive for the Waffle House chain of restaurants. That run came to an end in 2014, when he was defeated in the GOP primary for his state senate seat, partially because he was under indictment for 18 counts of falsifying expense reports. It wasn’t his first indictment, and Balfour claimed the crime was accidental, and was allowed to simply repay money to the state and resume his position in state government, rather than get any jail time. He’s not exactly going to be missed, considering before he left office, he supported a 20 week ban on abortion, drug-testing welfare recipients (which always is a failed conservative policy), and actually drafted legislation to make it illegal to picket against a corporation, which is about an obvious violation of a right to assembly as you’ll ever see.

It was one year ago that we published our original "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" profile of Monica Wehby, a physician from Oregon who ran for U.S. Senate against Democrat Jeff Merkley in 2014, and seemed promising for the GOP until she was interviewed by the Willamette Week, who assessed that she "fumbled her way through" their interview, and "waffled endlessly" on several topics. They noted she was "all over the map" on the Affordable Care Act and gave "befuddling answers that were at times disingenuous”, and that concern only grew worse when she skipped her televised GOP Primary debate in May 2014, claiming that her schedule was “packed solid” and later skipped a debate against Merkley in the general election in October 2016. When she finally did get in a debate, she gave a meek answer in her opposition to increasing the minimum wage during the greatest period of income inequality in the United States in a century… in one of the bluest states in the union. She also got hit with reports of a mother being charged for abusing her children by forcing them to undergo a series of medically unnecessary medical procedures, and in at least 10 instances, the unsound procedures were performed by Dr. Wehby. Her campaign’s statement about it was to say little or nothing because HIPAA laws prevented them from doing so (which is pretty convenient).Right on the heels of that bombshell were police reports that surfaced that showed Wehby had been accused of repeatedly stalking both her ex-husband, and an ex-boyfriend, entering his home without permission and harassing his employees in 2007, 2009, and 2013. Then, Buzzfeed ran a report after noticing that Monica Wehby’s website featured an entire policy on an issue that was plagiarized straight from Karl Rove’s Crossroads GPS website, word for word, and When asked for comment by reporters, Wehby claimed to be “too busy performing brain surgery on sick children to respond, sorry.” What followed only made it worse… she later replaced that policy with a new one… which was also plagiarized, verbatim from the website of her own primary opponent, Jason Conger. The worst part? The policy in question was Monica Wehby’s policies on healthcare. She was still a doctor, and her entire credibility of her campaign was based on that one issue, that she lifted all her ideas from whoever she could, rather than have an original thought on the subject. Further analysis of her website showed her economic policies were a combination of information lifted from the websites of Ohio Senator Rob Portman, and California Congressional Nominee Gary DeLong. Her website also featured a quote in a section on the 2nd Amendment attributed to Thomas Jefferson, “When the government fears the people there is liberty, when the people fear their government there is tyranny” that historians note Thomas Jefferson is never known to have said or written, anywhere. She has started a SUPERPAC, and claimed she would not longer seek office, so we’ll retire her profile at this time and spend today taking a look at another wacky Republican instead. (Current crazy/stupid scoreboard, is now 545-20, since this was established in July 2014.)

    Tim Kelly

Welcome to the 545th original "Crazy/Stupid Republican of the Day" profile, where we'll be discussing Tim Kelly, a member of the Minneosta House of Representatives, serving District 21A since 2009, after winning office by less than 800 votes. At first glance, he might not seem like the sort of Republican that CSGOPOTD takes an interest in, because his voting record isn’t terribly extreme by most conservative standards these days. Yeah, he votes against minimum wage increases during the worst period of income inequality in our country in over a century, and voted for stricter Voter ID laws in Minnesota (to stop statistically nonexistent in-person voter fraud. That’s not that bad, right?

Well, Tim Kelly also had some stances we find a bit alarming on social issues, in particular regarding LGBT rights. When Kelly and the Minnesota GOP tried sneaking a transphobic bathroom policy into the state budget in May 2015, it was certainly questionable. But where we’re particularly focusing on Tim Kelly is his dedication to being a “defender of marriage”, as he repeatedly voted for same sex marriage bans, and against authorizing same sex marriage while in office.

That’s why it was incredibly hypocritical for Tim Kelly to have been caught half naked in a car at a park by a Minnesota park ranger having an affair with a fellow Republican legislator, Tara Mack, in September of 2015.Maybe that scandal would have only gone as far as the arrest report, and maybe some hypocrisy… but as can often be the case, a desperate and sad attempt at a cover up can only magnify the outrage over the offense. For whatever reason, the duo tried claiming they were not caught in flagrante, but were actually just “exchanging documents” in the car. While half naked.

You see? Kelly was just trying to stuff a few papers into Mack’s “inbox”. (They eventually admitted to besmirching the honor of the park ranger who caught them, as well.) Tim Kelly was forced to resign from his spot on the… wait for it… Minnesota House of Representatives ETHICS COMMITTEE. He opted to retire at the end of his term this year, and we’re not going to miss this hypocritical hornball.

Well... A lot of it is blatant lies and some half-lies.
Some of it historical ignorance about how the Democrats and Republicans basically switched political sides during the 60's (one guess over what).

Some of it is just spurious nonsens (like who cares if Margareth Sanger was racist or not. She's was born in 1879 and is dead. Not that there's much or any indications that she actually was racist anyway.)

Democrats have not actually attacked the 2nd Ammendment.

Get off your high horse. What a wonderful proclamation to make at Christmas Time. This proves to me you're a hypocrite that thinks only the right owns the right to be called Christians. Your kind of Christian probably would have liked the Inquisition had you been around.

Relax. What I said was correct and wasn't meant to offend anyone. But, if it makes you feel better to hurl insults at me on Christmas day, then by all means, knock yourself out.

Why Democrats can't just 'get over it': Republicans are mocking Democrats because they won't 'move on' from Trump's win. They've got plenty of good reasons not to.

Democrats aren't going to 'get over it' as long as the Republicans fight dirty.
