Whatever link it was, I didn't make it up that someone reported he was scaring people at gunpoint and then refused to put the gun down. In that scenario I don't think it's impossible to think you can get shot for that, especially if police are coming in assuming it's a real gun. But it turns out all that is BS, so it's a moot point. I try to give the benefit of the doubt to the story that sounds the most reasonable until I have reason to believe otherwise.

And there's some people in it saying he did this or that, but nothing that says that he actually did any of that. Which it turned out he didn't.

I have a followup about the 9 year old with an Uzi who accidentally killed her gun range instructor with it 2 days ago...

The NRA decided, most likely in response, to tweet out a link to an article telling moms how much fun kids can have at the shooting range.

When I was nine, my idea of fun was tossing a ball around with my buddies or riding my bike through the neighborhood, NOT shooting a goddamn submachine gun! At that age, the only gun I shot was a water pistol from the five and dime. The NRA is worse than reprehensible for that pathetic attempt at CYA, where's their concern for that poor kid who's going to have nightmares about what she did for years, maybe the rest of her life? As for her irresponsible parents, I hope they get sued out the ass by the widow of that instructor since they should've known better than to have their kid tote a weapon she had no business even looking at, never mind firing. And you want to know the really sad part about it all? No one will learn from this tragedy which will almost certainly bound to be repeated sometime in the future.

Idiots. I've been around guns my whole life, and even I'm weary of automatic weapons. Those things are wild. Parents should know better, the people working there should REALLY know better. But apparently some people don't live in the age of good parenting or responsibility.

Dammit, at 2 you should be playing Duck Hunt. You physically can't handle a gun, ANY GUN, at that age. It's just not safe. Even with help, neither of you have a proper grip, you could shoot wild or the recoil could damage your hands. If we must have guns, safety should be our number one priority.
