The Senate voted to confirm Mick Mulvaney as budget director on Thursday, with Senator John McCain being the only Republican to vote no.
I don't see any retractions in that article. You seen something I might have missed?

Won't be enough. We need to make sure that Trump voters never vote for anyone again. We need to ensure tuat Jim Comey never feels safe for himslefade or his family within this country's borders. We need to wipe the GOP off the face of the earth. The elderly and uneducated have proven themselves too dangerous to trust with a ballot.

He voted against A guy. That's still unforgivable.

Where does Obama rank among U.S. presidents? C-Span poll gives high marks

Barack Obama clocks in at No. 12 on C-Span’s list of the best and worst American presidents — ahead of recent predecessors Bill Clinton and the two Bushes.

The cable channel’s survey, conducted periodically since 2000, gave Obama high marks for pursuing “equal justice for all” and “moral authority.” He ranked third and seventh in those categories among the nation’s 44 presidents.
Not bad, 12th is a good ranking.

I'm assuming you don't think it's unforgivable to vote against a Trump appointee, so what specifically did McCain do that is unforgivable?

Sure. Trump is the one that's going to destroy the United States and what it stands for.

Check the article again, the Times article has updated the chart.

It's probably just that the original article was written before the vote and got updated last night. Newspapers do have lead times.

The South Carolina Republican was confirmed by a 51-49 vote, with Senate Armed Services Chairman John McCain the only Republican defector.
    That's two articles...

I am seriously missing what you are on about.

A guy who said he was opposing a nominee voted against him. Folks may have missed that because they were not aware of his opposition.

For the most part, Republicans are happy with Trump's nominations. It's often the type of stuff you could have expected to see from a generic Republican President. Even the exceptions aren't that bad from their perspective. Sessions is a friendly colleague. Tillerson came recommended by Gates and Rice. A majority of Senate Democrats voted for McMahon.

The most controversial White House staffers are those that don't require Senate confirmation (Bannon, Flynn, Miller) and there are generally bigger problems with Trump than the people working for him.
I stand corrected. He only voted with Trump 90% of the time so far.
