No, liberal donors won't let them close up shop. They'll keep on with their BS.

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

No offense, but your partisan shows too much sometimes.

Fox is alone among a sea of huge TV networks and major newspapers. It's Fox and conservative radio and that's it.

True, but aren't they just echo chambers? Pretty much all news outlets are driven to bark the same topic points for ratings & ad revenue since all major outlets are owned by massive conglomerates.

But, there's always going to be an "Us Against Them" mentality with conservatives on the media, even though guys like Roger Ailes & Rupert Murdoch helped make sure the right wing got the hefty slice of money pie.

I'm sitting back and trying to understand current conservative dogma in 2017.

"We need a Muslim ban! Do you want them coming here and doing another 9-11 on us?"

"First off, that's bigoted, there is only a small, small minority of Islam, like any religion, that would do that. Statistically speaking, you're far more likely to be killed by a white Christian terrorist in a shooting spree than of any kind of Muslim terrorist given our country's gun laws. And second, more importantly... if you're so concerned with any death count staying down, why are you trying to pass an A.C.A. repeal that would kill 18,000 to 28,000 people a year? You're supporting a move that would cause six to ten of these dreaded 9-11s worth of preventable deaths to be inflicted on Americans annually to get a tax break for rich people? Why is it you are fine with one and not the other? Is it because the latter donate money to your political campaigns to buy your support, perhaps?"

Because it's okay when Republicans do it, you see. Even if it's six to ten times worse. Annually.

The media on both sides are horrible to much focus on personal or corporate agenda and not enough just reporting on the news. The 24 hour news stations have way to much time to fill and that leads to a lot of editorial and opinion shows that people take as news because they are on a news station.

Trump tweets shocking assault on Brzezinski, Scarborough

Trump's tweets in the 8 a.m. hour on Thursday said that "Morning Joe" is "poorly rated" (it's not) and that the hosts "speak badly of me" (that's true). He called both hosts disparaging names.

Trump claimed that Scarborough and Brzezinski courted him for an interview at Mar-a-Lago around the New Year's Eve holiday.

"She was bleeding badly from a face-lift. I said no!" the president wrote.

He actually said yes, according to accounts of their meeting. Trump, Scarborough and Brzezinski mingled with guests and had a private chat.

For the record, photos from Mar-a-Lago do not show any blood or bandages on Brzezinski's face.

Stunned commenters on social media noted that Trump targeted both hosts with his barbed tweets, but only opined on the physical appearance of the woman involved.

Democratic commentator Maria Cardona, speaking on CNN, said it was part of a pattern of misogynistic behavior by Trump.

I'm pretty sure everyone's eyes glaze over when James O'Keefe is mentioned anymore, so don't expect any damage being done.

Someone needs to shut his tweeting down, it just causes issues for himself and also the white house staff. He could save himself so many headaches if he just stayed off twitter for a month.

That didn't make a damn bit of sense. And that harridan speaks on behalf of America? Talk about frightening.

In time, Trump's little blame game won't work anymore. When any shit hits the fan months from now, either because of something he said or tweeted, or due to something that goes horribly wrong either at home or abroad, it'll be all on him. And who will Pissy POTUS blame then?

No one among his staff has the balls to do that. At most, they try to distract him from Twitter by having him go to one of his self-promotional rallies. However, he's become interestingly unstable thanks to Comey's testimony and the ongoing investigation, so much so that he yells at his staff if they try to convince him to lay off tweeting because he feels that they're trying to control or censor him. No one is putting reins on him and are pretty much allowing him to self-destruct. In the end, no one damages Donald Trump's credibility better than Donald Trump.

With the release of this new NRA ad, I am done with public political discourse. If this is the road we are on, we need to stop.
