Well, it's certainly true that Trump is extremely unpopular in the UK, particularly London, which he might well bypass.

However, I'm afraid that there are people and politicians who are Trump fans, such as pre-eminently the former leader of UKIP, Nigel Farage, who continually tweets his support and appreciation of Trump; Jacob Rees-Mogg MP, who some people are talking about as even being a potential future leader of the Conservative Party; and Melanie Phillips, Breitbart fan, denouncer of "cultural Marxism" and the "deep state"; assorted other commentators.

Still, they do form a small minority, albeit a vociferous one, so I think May will try to shelve the visit indefinitely, despite the fact that US trade is vital to the UK's post Brexit plans.

The business leaders chose to dissolve the council in order to "condemn" the president's comments about the Charlottesville violence, the same member said. The member described Trump's defiant press conference on Tuesday as a "tripwire."

They had heard from employees and customers about the council.

"There really was nothing to debate," the member said.

Several members of a separate Trump manufacturing council stepped down in recent days.

After the members agreed to disband and condemn Trump's statements, the president said he would end both the Strategic and Policy Forum and the manufacturing council.

The one who was very popular as Senator AND Sec. of State (during the times when she was largely off the propaganda machines' radars). The one who beat all her opponents in the primaries in a landslide. The candidate who was way ahead in all Electoral College projections up until the time Comey made his indefensible move re: her e-mails on the final stretch. The candidate who did end up getting 3 million more votes in the popular vote.

Hillary was also the second least popular presidential candidate ever.

Being the most admired woman is a bit meaningless since 13 percent of the vote is enough to win it many years (her average was 16 percent, which isn't enough to win an election.)

It's not fair to say she was bound to lose, since the election was close, but she was not a strong candidate (imagine how she would have done against someone who wasn't the least popular presidential candidate ever.)
