Nobody asked you to honor it.

Just allow others the freedom of self-expression.

i for one have not stated only "Democrat-Liberals" caused problems.

Got no clue what "the infighting of last year" means. In the country? On this forum?

Public monuments honoring the Confederacy is not self-expression.

And I asked what part of the Confederate cause are THEY honoring.

The President taking the side of white supremacists is not a thing that should be ignored.

I kind of like that fact that he doesn't bother debating a troll.

It shows a kind of maturity.

Never said you were, maybe you should pay attention to other conversations on this thread that aren't involved in your quixotic quest to absolve the confederates of scorn.

Do you dispute anything he said about when he was young. His father was a TV reporter.

Test-question #45 in the Mind-Reading Course: How do liberals prove that, even if it were clearly evident that the monuments were erected to intimidate black people, this remains the modern context in which modern Southerners see them?
It's been treason since they fought the damned war. It's been a weapon since those statues weren't erected until the Civil Rights era. So yeah, you're wrong.

Racism and treason isn't self Expression. It's Racism and Treason.

Both of which the Confederacy stood for, and why NAZI's are marching in our streets. FUCKIN NAZIS!!!!

We fought a war against the Confederacy and the NAZI, and won.

I'll note that Clooney has been better as an actor, director and philanthropist than Trump has been as a real estate magnate and President, but I do kinda dispute what Clooney said.

His dad was a pretty successful reporter. His aunt was a famous singer. His uncle by marriage was an Academy Award winning actor. Another uncle by marriage was a successful bandleader. He is leaving the wrong impression about his upbringing, and that seems disingenuous, or suggests he has a major blindspot.

His focus on his upbringing also ignores the subtext of the coastal elite criticism. The reason it's effective isn't because it suggests he came from wealth, but because it suggests 0he thinks he's better than the typical American. That's the more important aspect to address. One of Trump's talents has always been an ability to convey that he likes the working man, even though he came from wealth.
    Sincerely,
    Thomas Mets

Every time the president opens his mouth about an issue he strengthens and galvanizes the opposition. The more you tighten your grip, Lord Trump, the more star systems will slip through your fingers.

His family really wasn't part of the Hollywood scene and his father settled the family in a small town in Kentucky. They were not extremely wealthy. George eventually got bit by the acting bug after various other jobs didn't pan out. Still he was not exactly an overnight sensation

Why not? That sort of thing is all the rage with police departments these days. Yeah, I know, sounds silly to me too.
