People don't want to be without health insurance. But there are a whole host of issues at play. And removing the mandate will raise prices for more people who would no longer be able to go without health insurance because they could no longer afford it, which in turn would lead to higher health insurance costs and even more people unable to buy health insurance.

It will also lead to insurance companies leaving the individual market. Which means less competition and higher prices, if there are even any insurance companies offering plans at all in certain counties.

Also, I just have to point this out.

Conservatives came up with the idea of the Individual Mandate!

    http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/15/he...ervatives.html

The concept that people should be required to buy health coverage was fleshed out more than two decades ago by a number of conservative economists, embraced by scholars at conservative research groups, including the Heritage Foundation and the American Enterprise Institute, and championed, for a time, by Republicans in the Senate.

The individual mandate, as it is known, was seen then as a conservative alternative to some of the health care approaches favored by liberals — like creating a national health service or requiring employers to provide health coverage.

“In 1993, in fighting ‘Hillarycare,’ virtually every conservative saw the mandate as a less dangerous future than what Hillary was trying to do,” Newt Gingrich, the former speaker of the House, said at a debate in December, casting his past support of a mandate as an antidote to the health care overhaul proposed by Hillary Rodham Clinton during her husband’s administration.

Hey WBE! We got ourselves a huge f**king asshole today. Add him to the list, Senator Thom Tillis. He wants a federal wildlife agency to end a 30-year effort in North Carolina to save endangered red wolves from extinction. He was the effort ended and declare them completely extinct. Why? It is inconvenience the landowners.

U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis, a Republican from Mecklenburg County, has also called for an end to the wolf program. Tillis told a U.S. House committee last year that more than 500 private landowners have asked that the federal government keep wolves off their land.

“Before we do anything more in North Carolina, I think it makes the most sense to shut the program down to figure out how to do it right and build some credibility with the landowners,” Tillis said then. “There is a less than respectful history of dialogue between folks in North Carolina and the Fish and Wildlife Service. This is going to be an issue my office will be focused on for as long as I’m a U.S. senator.”

The Fish and Wildlife Service has not said it would end the program. But last year the agency proposed changes that would allow it to move wild wolves into its captive-breeding program, which holds about 200 wolves. The changes would limit wolves to federal land in Dare County alone instead of the largely private land they now roam in five counties.
We have a species on the verge of extinct. Sorry, the landowners will have to live with some wolves.

And as some bonus info, Tillis currently has a perfect rating from the NRA and got over $4.5 million in donation money from the group. Seems like he is voting on most of the Trumpcare stuff and has been dodging townhall and his constituents. He's new, but I got a feeling more crap is going to appear soon enough.

Alabama Republican Senate Candidate Roy Moore co-authored a study course, published in 2011 and recently obtained by ThinkProgress, that instructs students that women should not be permitted to run for elected office. If women do run for office, the course argues, people have a moral obligation not to vote for them. The course is also critical of the women’s suffrage movement, which in 1920 secured some American women the right to vote.
One lecture in the Vision Forum study course on which Moore worked is given by William O. Einwechter, a teaching elder at Immanuel Free Reformed Church. The lecture is titled “What the Bible Says About Female Magistrates.” The lesson argues that the Bible forbids women from holding elected office…
…*[t]his, Einwechter says, is proof that women should not work outside the home, run for office, or take on any role that gives women “dominance” over men, calling women “the weaker vessel.”

The Devil of Little St. James - The True Jeffrey Epstein Story (Full Documentary)
    https://steemit.com/dtube/@rebelskum/i658gcbb

George Soros-linked banker allegedly raped and beat Playboy Playmates so badly one’s boob implant flipped in his penthouse dungeon. Howard "Howie' Rubin who featured in the best-selling books 'Liar’s Poker' and 'The Big Short' is alleged to abused the women in a plush Manhattan

    https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/483314...geon-new-york/

The former Bear Stearns trader is said to have paid her £15,000 to repair the damage.

One plaintiff was tied up, gagged and shocked with a cattle prod in her groin before Rubin allegedly raped her, according to the law suit.

Rubin – who is alleged to have collaborated with two female fixers and a lawyer – had the women sign non-disclosure agreements, the papers state.

They sought to “cover up Rubin’s sexual misconduct and criminal abuse of women and to serve as a cover for his wide-ranging human trafficking scheme,” wrote Balestriere.

A lawyer for one of the women blasted Rubin’s alleged conduct.

“While arrogance and self-import may convince certain men otherwise, neither money nor power gives any person the right to victimise a woman,” said Jeremy Saland.

The problem with believing any of those degenerate websites is that they are disgusting black holes of conspiracy theories, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and pure hatred. Any potentially possible truth they report is not believed because of the piece of disgusting filth are.

Getting a couple things right in no way excuses the vile mountains of shit they promulgate, indeed. In fact, the vileness that they spread will cause people to actively /not look at whatever/ actual truth they're reporting, because it's mired in their nonsense. And when they, in turn, /defend/ folks like Moore...

My workplace just put a 50-something on disciplinary leave. He weaseled his way into being involved in a training program for student interns. Big surprise, he's been trying to date interns, who have lodged complaints about him pressuring to meet him at bars outside of work. One was 20, and he still took her out drinking after work...

Please note, that's a woman not just half his age, but not old enough to drink unless he bought her drinks and the bar forget to card her when he bought them and passed them to her.
