While it's to a lesser degree, that sort of thinking is spreading and becoming acceptable across the board. It's a democracy killer and pretty much bound to lead to conflict with opposing ideas as we've seen increase in the last couple of years.

Just like I posted earlier, that old witch lobbyist and former NRA President Marion Hammer has the GOP state legislators in Florida p***y-whipped. Hopefully a blue wave overtakes some of them but Florida is deep red in a lot of areas. They should find a way to take the fight to her but lobbyists aren't elected.

I seriously don't know how low someone can be to keep assault weapons around. People are dead, and not only are they doing nothing to help, but they aren't doing alternatives like upgrading schools to make it harder if not impossible for shooters to be active. Dropping mental health checks for potential gun owners was also such a bright idea wasn't it?

IIRC all Chicago schools have metal detectors. But I just feel sad writing that. Our schools shouldn't have to be fortresses.
