Well, Trump's Campaign Store is now selling something new.

....ah... huh... I believe this refers to when Trump said all Americans are Dreamers.

Meanwhile, in Florida with gun solutions. Remember that bonus teachers were suppose to get for carrying guns?

"The last line of defense," said Rep. Jose Oliva, R-Miami Lakes, referring to teachers with guns.

The $67 million "school marshal" program is the most controversial aspect of a House bill that imposes a three-day waiting period for gun purchases, raises the age to buy any gun from 18 to 21 and gives police more power to seize guns from people who threaten themselves or others. Most of the money for the marshal program would be spent on training.

Oliva said the bill doesn't address whether teachers would be provided guns or would have to buy them. He said that should be decided locally by school boards and superintendents.

The goal: 10 marshals (teachers trained to carry a gun) in every school, which would equate to 37,000 statewide. The state would cover the costs of background checks, drug testing, psychological exams and 132 hours of training. The bill does provide a one-time $500 stipend for those who volunteer to have a gun.
    ..........seriously? Just $500?

Lastly, what are you blabbing about Rubio? Also, your grammar stinks.

The debate after #Parkland reminds us We The People don’t really like each other very much.We smear those who refuse to agree with us.We claim a Judea-Christian heritage but celebrate arrogance & boasting. & worst of all we have infected the next generation with the same disease

Dick’s, Major Gun Retailer, Will Stop Selling Assault-Style Rifles

One of the nation’s largest sports retailers, Dick’s Sporting Goods, said Wednesday morning it was immediately ending sales of all assault-style rifles in its stores.

The retailer also said that it would no longer sell high-capacity magazines and that it would not sell any gun to anyone under 21 years of age, regardless of local laws.

The announcement, made two weeks after the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., that killed 17 students and staff members, is one of the strongest stances taken by corporate America in the national gun debate. It also carries symbolic weight, coming from a prominent national gunseller.
Late last week, after coming under attack on social media for their ties to the National Rifle Association, a number of major companies, including Hertz car rental, MetLife insurance and Delta Air Lines, publicly ended those relationships, issuing brief, carefully phrased statements.

But Edward Stack, the 63-year-old chief executive of Dick’s whose father founded the store in 1948, is deliberately steering his company directly into the storm, making clear that the company’s new policy was a direct response to the Florida shooting.

“When we saw what happened in Parkland, we were so disturbed and upset,” Mr. Stack said in an interview Tuesday evening. “We love these kids and their rallying cry, ‘enough is enough.’ It got to us.”

He added, “We’re going to take a stand and step up and tell people our view and, hopefully, bring people along into the conversation.”
Mr. Stack said Dick’s remained a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and will continue to sell a variety of sport and hunting firearms. Although he has never been a member of the N.R.A., Mr. Stack said he is, in fact, a gun owner and enjoys trapshooting clay targets.

But when it comes to selling guns to individuals under 21 years of age or stocking assault-style rifles, Mr. Stack said his company was done. “We don’t want to be a part of a mass shooting,” he said.

This is not the first time Dick’s has made changes in response to a school massacre. In 2012, after the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School, Dick’s removed assault-style rifles from its main retail stores. But a few months later, the company began carrying the firearms at its outdoor and hunting retail chain, Field & Stream.

This time, Mr. Stack said, the changes will be permanent.

You cannot make this **** up:

Armed teacher arrested after shooting at Georgia high school

The Dalton Police Department reported that “shot or shots” had been fired at Dalton High School just after 11:15 a.m. on the department’s official Twitter account.

Minutes later, DPD added that the armed suspect was barricaded inside a classroom at the school and urged parents not to come to the school.

Students were transported to the Northeast Georgia Trade Center for pickup, according to the DPD.

At 11:23 a.m., the department tweeted an update that read “The teacher is in custody.”

But yes, by all means, let's arm teachers. That'll solve the problem.

Can't say I've ever understood even the idea of an honorary degree.

Why do schools give degrees to non-students? Why would someone want a sham trophy degree from somewhere they didn't go?

    It's not a "sham degree."

It's a way for a panel of academics to honor people they feel deserve it. And maybe get some publicity and donations in return.

Clearly they feel Trump does no longer deserve it.

And they are correct, he doesn't. Cosby didn't deserve one either. Trump went to Fordham and Wharton. Lehigh should focus solely on alums to give special additional degrees to.

I just found out about this incident. That darn sure won't help the argument Trump and NRA bought and paid for Republicans made about having armed teachers in schools.

What does it say that someone is such a sham that they don't deserve a 'sham degree'?

Let's see... arming underpaid people in a high stress, high responsibility job who deal with children and teenagers all day long.

    What could go wrong?

The expression "going postal" might get replaced by "going scholastic."

I do agree that if a school wants to honor someone with an "honorary degree", it should be an alum

Yale does that ish all the time - just makes traffic worse on commencement weekend tbh
