Things are getting interesting in Panama in regards to a Trump Hotel and the fight to remove the Trump Organization from managing the property. This move was put in motion by the majority owner of the hotel.

Lawyers for President Donald Trump’s private company warned Panama’s president last month of “repercussions” if he failed to intervene in a legal dispute involving a Trump hotel in Panama City, The Associated Press and The Washington Post reported Tuesday.

The letter from Trump Organization lawyers is believed to be the first time since Trump’s election that his company directly pressured a head of state to help the president’s business. The ploy raises fresh questions of conflict of interest, as Trump defiantly hangs onto his sprawling business interests while in office.

Trump lawyers sought the Panamanian president’s help after the majority owner of the Trump International Hotel and Tower — investor Orestes Fintiklis — ejected the Trump Organization as the hotel’s manager under a court order. Fintiklis, backed by police, escorted Trump personnel off the property, stripped the Trump name from the building facade and celebrated by playing a Greek anti-fascism song on a lobby piano.

I hope President Varela tells Trump's flunkies to **** themselves. Trying to pressure a head of state to intervene in a legal matter that has nothing to do with the actual affairs of the country is all kinds of scummy, maybe even illegal. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Beavis and/or Butthead (Don Junior and Eric) were behind that scheme.

Here's a reasonable assessment of Roseanne, both the person and the reboot from...The National Review? Too many good parts to quote them all, so I recommend reading the article...it's interesting. Here is one bit though:

Trump called Roseanne to congratulate her on the ratings, which is reason enough for me to never watch the episodes we DVDr'd. But also, uncharacteristic characterization aside (there's no way Roseanne the character would vote for Trump), I don't know what normalizes Trump's many forms of bigotry more than ascribing support of him and his beliefs to an icon of your TV-soaked youth.

I disagree with this. I know people much like the Rosanne's TV family. If they voted for Trump it was either because of a traditional republican single issue ( say guns) vote or a troll vote ( this guys stupid but I'll vote for shits and giggles, thinking Clinton would win regardless).

Families like Roseanne's, sure. But not Roseanne herself. I could see any of their friends, or even Dan. But Trump is the type of dude Roseanne stood up to in the original run--the type of bully she would take down, or at the very least not give the satisfaction of taking her down. There's no way Roseanne would buy into his bullshit. It is completely out of character.

BOTH SIDES are reporting a flurry of leaks coming out of the White House that President Trump "certainly believes he has the power” to fire Special Counsel Mueller, that the Mueller probe "has gone too far," and the raid has confirmed their worst fear - "the Mueller probe is a run away train." Sanders is parroting a lot of this now, too.

It's about to get interesting folks.
