    Default Best Series Finale

    Just like the title says...

What do you think is the best series finale?

I have a few submissions. Both The Next Generation's All Good Things and Deep Space Nine's What You Leave Behind were fantastic.

The West Wing's Tomorrow was great if marred by the lack of Leo McGary.

    Obviously there is M*A*S*H

    Breaking Bad was pretty flawless.

And then there is Friday Night Lights.

Did I miss any. I left off the office because it should have ended years earlier. Seinfeld and how i met your mother were hated by half their audiences. So were sopranos and dexter.

I really love the ending of The Next Generation. I thought it nicely wrapped up a series with some great characters. I cannot remember the ending of Friday Night Lights but I did remember that show being awesome.

However, my favourite series finale to this day is Angel. Perfection.

Star Trek: The Next Generation. Probably my all-time favorite series finale in general.

I thought The Wire finale was damn near perfect. I also remember enjoying the Burn Notice series finale.

I always liked that J. Michael Straczynski was the actual person whom turned the lights off in the station for the last time in the series finale of Babylon 5. The way he just pauses to look around before switching off the lights, just to get one last look at the place that meant so much to him was a great way for him to let the fans know that he was going to miss this place too.

ALIAS had its ups and downs, but I thought its finale was a perfect end to the series. A lot of turmoil and sadness, with just enough hope to move on.

Sloan got the ultimate villain send-off, imo.

    There is only one answer.

    Babylon 5.

That series finale can also be used to determine whether or not someone is a sociopath. Have them watch the entire series of babylon 5. After the finale, if no tears were shed, you have a sociopath.

Angel's ending, even though it was forced because of being cancelled, probably captured the spirit of the show better. The whole motto of it being more about the fight and the struggle than actually winning.

Tbh I liked Dexter's ending a hell of a lot more than breaking bad. To me it made more thematic sense as an arc for the character, even if it wasn't the happy or triumphant ending fans wanted. While Breaking Bad sort of ended with the ending fans would rally around more, but really his character deserved a better punishment.

I thought Frasier had an amazing ending. It closed a chapter of his life and opened up a new one.
