JLofA is my first choice for Black Lightning. However, I can see him lead of a smaller shadow team of his own called "The Outsiders".

Possibly....Black Lightning, Katana, Martian Manhunter, Metamorpho, Traci Thirteen and Vibe.

I would love an all new Outsiders title with Black Lightning as a member. I have two ideas:


One would be to simply expand the line-up of Red Hood an the Outlaws since that title feels like the Outsiders to me and I ike the connection that the Outsiders have to Batman. The line-up would include:

The 3 originals: Red Hood, Starfire, Arsenal

New Members: Black Lightning, Metamorpho, Grace Choi, Indigo

Red Hood being with the team keeps the Batfamily connected to it but still allows enough room for the team be its own mythos too.



My second idea would be for Black Lightning to start and lead his own team of heroes:

Black Lightning
Grace
Metamorpho
Indigo
Katana
Halo
Geo-Force

I think this is a well balanced team in terms of powers and abilities; and the line-up has both older and newer members.

It all started with this comic...Black Lightning #1 from 1977

I remember when it first came out. While not the first black superhero I read about (that would be Black Panther and Falcon), he was easily the one I bought the most comics featuring him in it when I was a kid. Still wish he had joined the JLA back then.

My first exposure to Black Lightning was his appearance in the JLA. It was good to him play a decent role in the story. I would like for him to make more appearances in the New 52.

Have anyone read his appearance in DCU presents Black Lightning/Blue Devil?
