The Shroud is going to have time to whip up some Darkforce cover before Karnak gets with HTH range. At that point, the big question is going to be how Karnak's power functions. Some writers say that he senses flaws and weaknesses, while others assert that he "sees" those flaws. If Karnak can literally see weaknesses and the Darkforce doesn't obscure that form of sight, than Shroud's blind eyes are going to present a clear target for Karnak's attacks. If not, Karnak will be floundering in the dark while Shroud executes hit and run attacks. Even before he got control of Darkforce energy, the Shroud was portrayed as a highly skilled HTH combatant who was trained by mysterious Tibetan monks. His origin seemed to be modeled on Batman's origin, possibly just so Steve Englehart could give us a Batman vs Doctor Doom fight for Super Villain Team-Up #7.
