Polaris

While I'm a huge fan of Polaris and wish there was some way that Lorna Dane could join Captain America & The Mighty Avengers (just Lorna, none of the other X-gang), I can't say that I'm a fan of her current costume. No offense intended, but clearly the creative team decided that the color scheme of a browning banana was an awesome thing to behold.

Anyway, here's my take on our girl given the above limitations...

I hear Bishop has been put through the ringer, but he started off as one of my favorite X-men. Great job on this piece. I find myself tuning in just to check out the guns, gadgets and other accoutrements. Very nice!

OK, here's Feral. I kinda got the colour palette a bit wrong - I really she should be a little bit more orange and a bit less brown, but I think it's still recognisable.

I like the posture and the overall tone of your Feral. One of the many things that I hated about Liefeld's work was his insistence on making Feral look like Garfield on acid. Your version of her would have been an instant classic.

Your Bishop is great. Love the touch of energy around the arm and the subtle shading on the uniform.

It's good to know that I wasn't the only one who cringed. Then again, I guess Liefeld made lots of money in the comics biz, so we can't knock his hustle too much.

Getting back on topic...who to draw next? Namor? Vindicator? Gladiator? Thunderbird? Sat-yr-9? Viper? The White Queen (Wilhelmina Kensington)???

That article was mean, but yeah. He probably shouldn't be working as an artist. I mean maybe if someone gets sick and he has to step in then yeah. But it was pretty bad. Even some of my drawing's have come out better than that. And I'm a terrible artist.

I don't know of the guy. I just read that he was a jerk. But then again considering the tone of that article I'd say it was somewhat slanted.
