Rank Your Favorite Enemies of Batman!

Batman has the most established rogues gallery in all of fiction.



Tried this with the Superverse, but wanted to also give the Batverse a try.

Same idea: taking the pulse of Batman's rogues gallery and see what (if any) consensus there might be among the Batman fans here.

Some preventative ground rules to pre-empt trolling or thread hi-jacking:

1) All your choices must be unambiguously fictional characters (i.e. no real people or organizations: no Chuck Norris, no Bruce Lee, no Mark Waid, no Dan Didio, no Geoff Johns, no Frederic Wertham, no DC comics itself, etc)

2) All your choices must have least one verifiable and official licensed instance of fighting Batman (i.e. no Ryu, no Wolverine)

3) All your choices must be considered generally more villainous than not (i.e. no other heroes: no Superman, no Wonder Woman, no Batgirl, no Robin, no Marvel's Captain America or Daredevil, etc ... Catwoman is acceptable, as she has literally decades where she was an unambiguous enemy of Batman's compared to the more recent heroic take, and it's your call on Jason Todd Red Hood ... honestly not sure about him)

4) Points! You can list up to 10 villains, with the #1 choice gets 10 points, #2 choice gets 9 points, #3 gets 8 points, and on and on till #10 gets 1 point. If you submit is one choice that choice defaults to #1 with 10 points, and the same with 3 choices (10 pts, 9 pts, 8 pts) and so on.

5) Tally! I'll try to keep a running tally to keep score.

6) Totally subjectively your favorites! Not objectively the greatest! Heck, if you genuinely love ... Max Shreck from BATMAN RETURNS ... count 'im! There's bound to be some overlap between your 10 favorite Batman enemies and the 10 most famous "greatest" Bat-foes, but these are two different groups.

7) This is the Favorite Enemies of Batman Rankings, NOT the Favorite Version of Favorite Enemies of Batman Ranking. A vote for any version of the character gets counted as a vote for the composite character, i.e. feel free to vote for any specific version of Bane (comics, B:TAS animated, BATMAN & ROBIN movie, ARKHAM ASYLUM video games, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES movie), just know that it will get counted as a vote for just "Bane".

8) Groups are distinct from Individuals, and groups trump the individuals if listed together on one line, i.e. if you list Ras al Ghul/League of Assassins as one item, that goes to the League of Assassins as a group.

9) If you feel like saying why you placed someone at which spot, feel free to enlighten us!

I guess the rule would be "no motif-sharing for independent villains" ... that's probably how I should have titled these types of threads. That said, yeah, "Clayface" in general for the tally but for sure mention which particular version if you like.

As long as there are situations where she will come into conflict with Batman, I think Catwoman can be classified as a "Rogue". But that's just me.
