    It hasn't. At all.

    New 52 completely destroyed Hippolyta. She in no way resembles the noble, compassionate woman she was always meant to be.

    Hippolyta was so destroyed by Azz that I don't even care that the Finches seemingly killed her. I don't care if this "Hippolyta" never returns. I really, really don't.

    As far as I'm concerned, Hippolyta died the second Flashpoint got started and she has never returned. Barring a retcon or importing a new Hippolyta from another Earth, Hippolyta will never be Hippolyta in the New 52.

    Pre 52 no doubt. She definitely had a more eventful life.
