Lots of picks, but I'm just going to make the 2 most important ones so far.

NBA Finals: LA Clippers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers. Clippers in 7.
    NBA MVP: Stephen Curry.

I'll post my Playoff teams later.

My Sixers open their season in Boston tonight. If Philly wins as many as 25 games, I'll be greatly surprised. I'll give other predictions later.

If the Clippers dont make the Western Conference Finals, then this team needs to blow up.

My Sixers opened their season in Boston by roaring out to a 26-17 lead while Jahlil Okafor had 12 points. Then, reality set in and they remembered they were the Sixers, before you can say "Paahk the caahr in Baah-ston", they were down 38-28 and went ended the first half trailing 51-40.

Andre Drummond shoots 14-21 from the FT line in his first two games, both Pistons wins, good for 67%. Yeah, it's still not a "good" percentage strictly speaking, but for a career 40% FT shooter, it's a huge improvement. if he can keep it up, that's a potentially game-changer for my Pistons.

Lakers messed up their draft pick. Okafor is a monster.

My Sixers opened the 2015-16 season with a 112-95 loss in Boston last night. Rookie Jahlil Okafor made his debut with 26 points and 7 rebounds while Nerlens Noel had a double-double (14 points, 12 rebounds). Unfortunately, the game was lost because our bench was nonexistent, outscored by the Celtics bench 67-15. UGH! Next up, our home opener on Friday against Utah.

I'm more than a little surprised to hear that Rick Carlisle is close to inking a 5-year extension in Dallas, given the Mavs less than rosy prospects for the immediate future and the potential for at least a few desirable NBA HC gigs opening up next season.

Makes sense that Cuban wants to keep him. It's kind of ironic because he was willing to spend to keep the team in 2012, but he's willing to pay the coach? I realize the scale is not even since coaches get way less than players, but still.

Not sure if Carlisle is the type to rebuild or not. He's always been on good teams from what I can remember.

    My Playoff picks without seeding.

    East

    Cleveland
    Miami
    Washington
    Atlanta
    Chicago
    Boston
    Toronto
    Detroit

Not sold on New York, Indiana, or Orlando. I'm not even that confident about Detroit, but I think they'll adjust to their system better than Indiana will.

    West

    OKC
    San Antonio
    Golden State
    LA Clippers
    Memphis
    Houston
    Utah
    Sacramento

NO is going to be too hurt all year. They were in until I realized how many people are hurt right now. Dallas and Phoenix have an outside chance, but neither one really got better during the offseason. It'll take Portland at least one season to go into another direction with Lillard as the centerpiece. I think Sacramento will barely squeak in due to NO's injuries. I have no great confidence in them.
